Good sound, Low price

I've owned the Acoustic B-200H since April 2009 and have played 20+ gigs. It's paired with 1/15" ported cab. My band mostly plays small to medium-sized clubs, but this head has plenty of power for fair or festival gigs. I have played a variety of basses through the head, they all sound good with the right eq settings. The signal comes out clean even at higher gain/volume settings. I've gotten compliments on my sounds from several fellow bass players.
The line out is a great feature. You can run the head through the PA, which allows you keep the stage volume lower.
The only real design flaw is the height of the head. When set down on it's end, the head is very tippy. This narrowness also limits the space available on the back panel. The XLR line out is placed so close to edge the back panel that I can't get my thumb between the plug and the enclosure to engage the release on the XLR plug. I end up having to twist my hand into an awkward position so that I can use my index finger. An exta inch or even 1/2 inch would solve this.
Pros: Great price/value, clean tweakable sound, plenty of power for bar or hall gigs as well as fairs and festivals.
Cons: Narrowness of the head makes it tippy when stood on end and makes proper removal of an XLR plug from the lineout jack unnessesarily difficult.
A final note on the quality rating. The first unit I received quit after one week. I literally used it twice for solo practice. On the 3rd attempted use (at band rehearsal) the power light came on but no sound of the head! MF had a very quick turnaround on the replacement head. I didn't have to use my backup head at the next gig...

First off, let me just say if you are thinking about buying this amp... DO IT! This baby can put out some serious juice. At 200 watts, this thing is plenty power for my band (2 distorted guitars, screamed vocals, loud drums, BASS) I paired this thing with the B410 that Acoustic is selling with it. OH MY GOD, when put together, this rig is PUNCHY and it can get pretty darn loud. Its perfect for Post-Hardcore (screamo) music :D and of course it can get those classic bass tones aswell. but I play modern hardcore and let me just tell you, this baby gets the job done!!! AWESOME PURCHASE.

I run this head out of the GK Goldline 410 cab. sounds amazing. especially pumpin outta my MIM Fender P- bass. i heard of acoustic when i got the acoustic b-20 for christmas about 2 yrs ago. (wow doesnt seem that long) i had takin the practice amp to my cousins house. my uncle is a child of the 60s and he told me how back in the day he used to have the acoustic 600 watt amp head and how amazing it was. so after more research and playing on them i decided i liked acoustic products Alot. the reason i give it a 5 on features even though it is real basic is because i dont really like different effects and fancy stuf i just like a real natural tone. my online complaint is that if you get it then go play outside gigs before the "acoustic" smell weres off flies love it haha but its kind kool to watch though:)

This is amazing for the price. I lead my youth group's worship team, and our old '80s GK head was stolen from our room. I went shopping around for new stuff and came across this. Acoustic had the reputation so I pulled the trigger. It sounds amazing for the price! My only complaint is that the gain doesn't add any dirt to it (I'm not a bass player- I'm used to guitar amps :D) but it's not wholly necessary, I'd get a tube amp if that's what I needed. Only time will tell if the quality's any good.

Acoustic B200H Bass Head

I'm Lee and I play bass in a rockin Southern Rock band called 'Southern Mischief'.
I've played Acoustic amps for years. I had an original, back in the day, Acoustic 450 amp head and an Acoustic 404 transducer, (a 6-10" cabinet).
225 watts of good, clean, linear, solid state power Rocked! (the head got stolen from our practice space in Athens, Ga. when I was a student there and was playing in a band then. Go Dawgs!)
This 200 watter kills! The tonality available is incredible. It sounds ALMOST as good as my Ampeg SVT 300 watt tube head!
For the price, buy it! Good power, great tonality, rockin amp!
