I bought this to replace an Ampeg BA115HPT which had cabinet buzzing issues. I took a chance getting this because I think Ampeg has some design flaw issues with their combos. The Ampeg BA115HPT that I traded to get this was my third amp that had serious buzzing problems when hitting certain notes. This one hasn't started to do this yet and it's been a good amp. I question the the SVT level output claims. It's rated at 300 watts but this amp doesn't get very loud. I think my old amp at 220 watts had more power. So far other than lack of power this has been an OK amp

I purchased this amp about six months ago as a B stock refurb and I have been very pleased with its performance. I have played quite a few gigs with this thing and it has powered through loud drums and guitar. I play in a band and we cover a wide variety of rock and heavy rock songs. This amp has really great tone on the highs and mids. Once the preamp warms up this thing sounds great. The low end leaves something to be desired. I play with a 5 string and a 4 string in tunings from E standard to drop C and when you get into a really loud mix the lows don't push through well enough to get into the crowd's gut. When I plug my ampeg BA115HP in through the line output I have no problem dialing in a great low end to push what my BA300-210 can't handle. If you are looking for a small amp that can hold it's own in a medium sized gig or loud practice this amp will get you quality ampeg sound in a small package!

This is a very poorly built amp.They don't make them like they did in St. Louis anymore. I have owned this piece of crap for almost three months. The covering is coming off, the direct out doesn't work right. I had to retighten every screw in the amp when I got it. Don't buy it!

I bought the Ampeg BA300/210 combo bass amp. Out of the box, I was a bit suprised to find it was a bit small for 2 10 inch speakers. I thought it would be a little bigger. If you have a tight space, then it's perfect.

Cosmetically, it has a vintage, but modern look. The amp is about 55lbs and in comparison is light compared to other amps but isn't light enough to lug it around everywhere with ease. The wheels make it easier to move around.

When plugging in, I had to tweak a few adjustments like the tube compression, hi and low boosts, and general eq. To get a decent sound with ample volume, the volume knob was about half way. Anything past, your neighbors would probably complain. The 'shape' feature is nice depending on what kind of bass you are using and what kind of tone you want.

This amp is recomended if you are looking for a good practice amp or playing medium size gigs.

Having starting a new all original music project I made the switch from guitar to bass. While looking for a quality bass amp for not a ton of cash I stumbled upon the Ampeg 300w 210 combo. Being a guitar guy I was intrigued by the tube preamp. The first time I plugged my bass into this amp I had a smile from ear to ear. Almost any setting I threw at it the amp responded flawlessly. My bass player in my cover band has an Eden 210 combo that does not hold a candle to this ampeg even with the single 15 extension cabinet he needed to get any lows out of it. I highly recommend this amp.
