The Ampeg SVT-4 PRO Series Bass Head gives you lots of tonal control and lots of power. I have owned one of these for about two years and I love it mono/bridged to my Ampeg 410hlf simply an amazing combo. I bought another one for a backup when I had dropped my other svt4-pro off at the ampeg repair shop. My amp was not broke or anything I wanted to have it looked at while it was still under warranty and you know how fast technicians work... like watching sap drip from a tree in this case. Also check out the 410hlf the lows are incredible with that cab.

I've owned this head for several months and I have to say, it's been a dream. I'm not too happy with the fact that I've had a recent issue with the output of the head to the cab and having to get it fixed is proving to be a real pain. But other than that this amp has great and versatile tone.

I bought this beast a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it, but thought my tone lacked the clarity I was looking for. I had been using the standard Speakon cables through the 810 or the 15. I have just recently learned that you must modify the Speakon to +1/+2 on the end connected to the cabinet. Talk about a world of difference. Mono Bridging is the way to go. As loud as you want with plenty of tonal possibilities.

I upgraded to this head after playing a B2RE head. The power this head has in "Mono" is unreal. Endless tone options. I have it mated to an Ampeg SVT-410HLF and it cuts through every time. This set-up shakes everything. Ampeg is the best!

I've had this amp for just over a year. Used it on outdoor & indoor gigs. It gives great tone at low volumes & even better tones at high volumes (right up to shaking the stage). At one gig, we lost one of our two subs. I cranked the amp up & easily compensated. Only complaint is a little high end buzz when using the DI into the house system. Cab sounds clean, though, & buzz isn't noticeable when the music starts. This thing has seen hours of play after hours in the trailer on the road. No issues whatsoever. I would definitely buy again.
