The Ampeg SVT-410HLF Enclosure gives you plenty of volume and clean low end. This 4x10" cabinet has the same speakers and 1" horn as the SVT-410HE with 2" coils and 30 oz. magnets, but the cabinet itself is tuned differently. It's deeper and has a bottom port that results in better low-end response, down to 28Hz!

I want TWO!

I went searching for anything and everything that could come close to my Acoustic 360 of yesteryear...Nothing was even close until plugged into Ampeg. Now my SVT4 sits on top of the clearest best bottom cabinet I found. So good I want a second one. The quality ding is for the covering and grille cloth that could be more durable...buy a cover.....or two!

5 String Bliss

About two years ago I purchased a five string bass and decided to upgrade to an amplifier/cabinet combination to do the five string sonic justice. After doing some research I decided to purchase the 410HLF. I'm powering the cab with a Tech 21 Sansamp RBI preamp into a SWR Workingpro 400 and I have to say this cab is everything I wanted and more. Ampeg did a steller job on the design here because the HLF is amazingly tight for a cabinet that goes this low (28 Hz.) No flabbiness or mud at all on the low B string, just an awe-inspiring bone-rattling rush of BASS that is sure to turn heads. Great sounding for just about any style of music and with the horn engaged is most responsive when switching from fingerstyle to slap/pop stuff. Construction-wise the cabinet is as sturdy as they come but rolling the thing using the "towel bar" on the rear is a bit akward unless you stand about 4'5" The side handles work nicely though and my only (slight) beef is with the flimsy cloth speaker cover which offers little protection but is probably used to save weight. Don't let the weight and dimensions fool you though, this cab is quite easy to load/unload and packing this much tone and power, you will gladly road this puppy to the gig. I'm convinced that I'm underpowering this thing and am thinking of moving up to an amp in the 700 watt range. Annoy your neighborhood and buy it.

The best 4x10 EVER?

The 410HLF is the best cab I have ever owned period. I have owned and still own some name brand stuff like Eden and SWR but this has been the best. I even chose it over the 8X10 because of its ability to produce lower frequencies with my 5 string. I played them side by side at GC and this sounded better which I couldn't believe. I will eventually own an 8X10 as part of a never ending best gear on the planet search but, I will not replace the 410hlf with the 8x10. I use it with an SVT-4pro. Its incredible! Buy it!

MAYBE THE BEST BASS CABINET FOR ALL AROUND USE!

I've been using the Ampeg SVT-410HLF cabinet exclusively for the past two years and have been well pleased with its performance in all the venues we've played, inside and out. My setup consists of Fender Jazz basses (mainly a modified Geddy Lee model) through a Bassman 400H head mated with this cabinet. I have never been happier with my sound than I am now, something that has not gone unnoticed by my bandmates and other musicians. Nothing is more satisfying than another musician complimenting you on your bass sound after a performance.

Behold, the Thunder Box

This cab is gnarly. Before I purchased this cab I had a vintage 410 Yamaha cab sitting on top of a 115 Hartke in order to get both the highs and the lows that I wanted. With this cab I now get better lows and highs than I had with both of those cabinets. It rattles the entire building that we practice in at less than half volume. For any bass player who needs to cut through the rest of the band this is it. (I'm using my GK Backline 600 or Peavey 450 tour Bass heads with this if anyone was curious. Tube head is next purchase)
