The C210T-300 Combo features a potent, fan-cooled 307W RMS power section, 2 - 10" Ashdown BlueLine speakers, and a tweeter for the high frequencies. Rotary bass, mid, and treble controls are supplemented by smaller rotary controls, providing 15dB of cut and boost at 220Hz and 1.6kHz, making it a comprehensive 5-band EQ section. Additionally, front panel push switches for Bright and Deep settings provide instant access to either attacking or warm, rounded sounds. For enhanced low-end response, the C210T-300 has Ashdown's acclaimed subharmonic generator ready to take your tone on a deep dive. Inputs are provided for active and passive instruments, and the front panel also features an effects send and return, a tuner/line output, and a balanced DI output for direct connection to a mixing console.

Ashdown BlueLine speakers achieve a superb balance of power, transparency, and deep, controlled low end without sacrificing any of the mid-band attack and high-end brightness that are so important in modern bass sound.

1 year and still going strong

Well, it's been nearly a year and I thought I'd give my updated review after extensive gigging. First of all the Ashdown covers are not available in the US, but you can get a padded cover from Larry LeCover, which btw fits like a glove, for a reasonable price. Now lets get down to the biz. I love this amp. The large knobs make eq tweaks quick and easy. You don't realize just how much that matters until you are trying to make an adjustment on the fly. The built in compressor is still the best on any amp I've heard. It's very straight forward and musical. In stead of adding the ext cabinet I run a di out to the house and let the 18" powered Mackies do their job. The only thing I would change about this amp is I would make it a kick back. I can be kind of hard to hear when playing because all the sound is blowing by your knees. I actually got a tilt back amp stand and that did the trick. Taking that into consideration it is hands down the best 210 combo in it's price range. This is one piece of gear that I will keep for a very long time.

So, I've had two of these. The first I had was wired wrong or something, but the second day I had it I brought it to band practice and, although I was just playing around with it at about half volume, I heard a pop and after that all that would come out of it was smoke and a horrible squeal. Obviously, I sent it back to Musician's Friend and got a brand new one. The new one I've had about 4 months and have not had an ounce of issue with it except when my band was recording a demo I could actually hear the fan just a little bit. Although I do like the fan, I am a tad picky about my recordings, so that bugged me to death. Also, it's perhaps the most wimpy 300watt amp in the world :P it had trouble keeping up with my guitarist's 150watt 2x12. I am probably going to hook up a 1x15 cab and see how that works though. Otherwise, my bass sounds great out of it.

Broke Down Twice in three years

I've owned one of these amps for three years now. During that time I have used if for a little over 100 gigs. After about a year and a half of owning it I decided to get a 210t ashdown cab too go along with it. The first gig I used this new set up, the power amp failed on me and I had to get it sent in to be fixed. After getting it fixed I used it for about a little over a year and the power amp failed again on me. I talked to the guy at the repair shop and he said that he thinks this amp doesnt have enough wattage to power an external cab being any of the ashdown 115, 210 or 410 cabs. Works Great as a stand alone. Just be carefull not to push it to hard with an ext cab. The input and ouput knobs on this thing are a little confusing at first too. All over this a decent amp for the money, the carpert covering gets dirty fast and the plastic corner edge's break too easy. As far as tone goes thing thing can deliver one of the best sounding amps i've heard. I just wish it was more durable.

This amp has amazing tone & tons of power. I have owned tons of amps & since purchasing this I have really thinned out my collection. I use the Mag by itself for smaller gigs & throw the 15 cab under it for large venues. This thing is a TONE MONSTER. I LOVE IT. I unloaded my Ampeg & My GK is now my practice amp. If you have not tried Ashdown you don't know what you are missing. I AM HOOKED

If you were to rate all the 210 combos on the market today the Ashdown C210t would most likely win just on it's looks. But after plugging in you realize it goes much deeper than just a pretty face. I had never played or even seen one in person when I made this purchase. After roughing in a mix on the eq I started dabbling with the built in compressor. OMG!!! The punch was unreal! Then I added the sub-harmonics and that gave it extra boom on the low end. I feel like I have just scratched the surface on what this baby can do. I can't wait to get it into a gig and really put it through the paces. I have already informed my wife I will be buying the 115 ext.cab. I bet that will put some hair on your chest. I'll post another review after some gigging. Peace out yo!
