The MAG C115-300 has massive power and classic Ashdown tone. |
The Ashdown MAG EVO II bass combo amplifier features a potent, fan-cooled 307W RMS power section, 4 - 10" Ashdown BlueLine speakers and a tweeter for the high frequencies. Rotary bass, mid, and treble controls are supplemented by smaller rotary controls, providing 15dB of cut and boost at 220Hz and 1.6kHz, making it a comprehensive 5-band EQ section. Additionally, front panel push switches for Bright and Deep settings provide instant access to either attacking or warm, rounded sounds. For enhanced low-end response, the C410T-300 bass combo amp has Ashdown's acclaimed subharmonic generator ready to take your tone on a deep dive. Inputs are provided for active and passive instruments and the front panel also features an effects send and return, a tuner/line output, and a balanced DI output for direct connection to a mixing console.
Ashdown BlueLine speakers achieve a superb balance of power, transparency, and deep, controlled low end without sacrificing any of the mid-band attack and high-end brightness that are so important in modern bass sound.

This amp is amazing. I have owned it for a month now, and every time I plug in, I'm amazed each time. To me, the amp is very transparent, like what i mean is that i hear my instruments tone exactly like it sounds. Like I hear my bass, only amplified. In other words, the amp isn't very colorful and doesn't add much of its own tone, but rather its neutral. To me, that is very important in a bass amp. Also, i use a Line 6 Bass Pod XT Live, and this neutrality of the amp makes the pedal really shine thru. Also i love the switchable EQ, because two of my basses are active, so i can use the EQ on them rather than the amp. the subharmonic generator is simply amazing. It tracks well. And another handy feature is the selectable deep and bright settings. they're pretty handy for making quick adjustments in your sound. I love the look of the amp, mine has the blue speakers, not sure if the new ones still do. Also the interface is really nice, with big knobs so you know exactly what your tweaking. In all, I would recommend this amp to anyone, but as always, its very important (if you're able to) to play thru the amp and hear it for yourself in person to make sure you like it.

I have owned this amp for over 2 years. It is well worth the money. I have never had a problem with it. If you add a matching 15'' speaker it really blows down the walls. Plenty of punch and plenty of belly tingling lows. The perfect amp for medium to large sized halls. Ashdown is a fairly new company but a lot of bassists have taken notice. Their prices are very reasonable but if you want the US made stuff you will need some high priced gigs. The only thing I had to do with this rig was add wheels. I wish they would have been originally included.

You cannot beat this amp for the price. dollar for dollar, it is superior to ANY amp on the market. The amp has great sound. With an additional 15" cab, this unit is simply unmatched in quality for the money you'll spend. It is capable of completely dominating any instrument in any live situation. All while never sacrificing sound quality, even at max volume. I just can't say enough about this rig.

A 4X10 combo for under $600? Yes, it's true. And it's worth every penny. This turned out to be the perfect amp for nearly every bass I have. It has so much punch, but then you hit the deep button and the thunder down under really shakes your guts. Good projection, too. Truly in its own league. The speakers are great and don't distort or break-up even at higher volume levels. Quality construction means this will take your abuse on the road. Dollar for dollar, you won't find anything like it.

I bought the Ashdown MAG C410-300 about a year and a half ago and I've been pretty happy with it since. It has no feedback and a good EQ. The sound is awesome, I haven't been able to re-create that sound on any other amp. It also packs enough power for me to hear myself through my four piece metal band. Although, I wish it had a little bit more of a bottom end so it could really punch through.
Lately, every once in a while, I'll be playing for a few minutes and it will crackle out on me. I have to turn it off and wait a few minutes before it works again. I don't know what caused this, but it's been happening less often then it used to.
Overall, though, this is a great amp, and I will continue to use it.
