Okay look i got this bass 4 years ago and i still play it everyday of my life, its a great bass and im a tall guy so i love how long it is my only complains is somehow one of the tuning machines came loose and it leans a lil but it hasnt stopped it because its went through 5 sets of strings and it still sounds great! this bass sounds really amazing for just having a single coil. This bass isnt the best bass because of the price i think it should be a lil sheaper but it is a great sounding bass the only buzzing i heard was a lil on the d string on the first fret but this is a great bass for any kind of music, ive played santana to system of a down to mudvayne gret bass

Cheap, wicked shape, but poorly crafted

I have owned this bass for about 2 years now, and i have used it regularly. Its a decent starter level bass and is good for the price. However, no case will fit this bass, except for a custom made bc rich case, or coffin case. Due to the sharp angles at the bottom, the points at the bottom of the bass are prone to chipping. The electronics are sub par as well. I had to have the cable jack fixed and replaced twice. I just gutted the entire instrument and replaced all of the electronics and the sound quality is much better. Having said that, this bass is good quality for the price, but dont expect a masterly crafted instrument.

right off the bat, the only case that this long bass will fit in is a coffin case (it's 43" long). its also a little on the heavy side, but you get use to it. I've been playing it for about 4 years now, and although I want to upgrade the pickups, its still a great bass. the original strings have much to be desired, but with some tapewounds, it sounds great. the sound is a little on the brighter side, but for metal/rock it sounds great. stays in tune like forever too (mines been intune for about 3 months now). its a great value, and a wonderful start for metal/hard rock bassists looking for a bright sound, and a rockin' look.

This bass is by far the best bass I've found in this price range...I've had mine for just over a year and absolutely love it-the action's fast, it holds tuning very well, sounds-and looks-awesome. A great bass, especially if you're on a budget.

I bought this cheap off a friend about a year ago, and love it! I play in a Misfits cover band, and its perfect for horror punk. When I can afford it I will upgrade to the NT but this bass lives up to the BC Rich name.
