This is actually my second Warlock but my fourth Bass. While I have never owned a Neck-thru model,I have spent many hours trying a variety. Some good. Some bad. When it comes down to it,nothing was like the Warlock.Going from four to five is easy with this model and flatwounds make it awesome. It's still new to me but I like the tone and the way it sustains. If you like a Warlock and have considered going from 4 to 5 the only drawback;I'll tell you,it's not that bad.The string distance was easy with my pick, but remember fellow pick players,I pick above my pickups, not over the tailpiece(again, my preference). The only drawback was it had a short inside the instrument cable connection. Two min. later problem solved and I proceded to jam out,so Don't bother me.I'm jammin on my 5 string.

this is my first five string and knowing B.C. Rich when it comes to quality they wont let you down i play in two bands one a hard rock band the other a heavy metal band, and this machine was built for metal, and the action is great i can fret the neck it will get every note, and the sound is enormous. I highly recommend if you are looking for a high quality 5 string this will serve you nicely just make sure your amp can handle it

This is bass is my 3rd bass that I bought, and it's by far my favorite. Mostly because it is EXTREAMLY comfortable and it looks really good on stage, there are only two problems that I had (quickly overcame although.) First the neck for some reason feels a lot thicker then most other bass necks I have played, which just takes some time to get used to. The second is that my pickups have a bad hiss if I don't mute the strings, (easily fixed with new pickups and this might of just been my bass) But this is an amazing bass, very comfortable, string spacing is best for finger picking and (if you use a pick) I would at least play it before you buy.

BC RICH WARLOCK NT 5 STRING BASS

This is my forth bass I have bought. I find the tones you can get from it are fantastic. I personally like a rich, deep bassy tone and it certainly delivers. It looks awesome when your playing live and really stands out, sounds and looks. My only objections with it were the string spacing because I prefer the strings a little further apart for more comfortable finger work. I have adjusted to it better now. Its completely neck heavy too so you have to be holding it up all the time. If you can get past this though its a great product, and for the price it goes for too. Its very durable and can withstand a beating in live performances. Obviously like all spiky shapes it will chip fast if your not careful. But give it the respect it deserves and you'll find yourself with an awesome sounding, great looking bass.

I have the NJ series of this bass I bought in 2005 after I bought my B.C. Rich Warlock Platinum 4 stringer.. 4 stringer does not have active electronics, yet 5 stringer is bombastic, wicked sounding in drop tuning ADGCF which Korn uses a lot.. Looks wicked and sounds wicked. Close string spacing makes thumping a challenge but with a lot of practice no problem..
