The Behringer BX4500H Ultrabass Bass Head is amazingly versatile. The powerful 450W bass amplifier head features patented Dynamizer technology, a switchable Ultrabass sub-harmonics processor, and Behringer's revolutionary Shape filter for mid-band frequency control. The head also provides a dedicated 5-band EQ with Bright and Deep functions, a musical opto-limiter, vintage style VU meter, and XLR direct output.

You can select the Bright and Ultrabass functions with the supplied footswitch and insert an external EFX signal through the TRS effects send and return. 3 speaker outputs are available including TRS and Neutrik Speakon connections. Heat is controlled by a temperature controlled cooling system.

Ive had mine for 4 years (bought one of the 1st ones). Lot of bang for the buck, sounds decent thru my Avatar 210. Cons: meter is useless as is the ultrabass, "shape" isnt buch better

New, this amp seems solid and capable. Tone controls can get any sound you want. The ultrabass effect works as well as a Boss Octaver pedal - give it enough pickup output and it tracks down to E above open D playing staccato stuff - don't expect it to track whole notes. Loudness is relative, but assuming decent speakers it's loud enough to get too loud for unprotected ears. Mates well with my Avatar 212 Neo. Shape knob is unmusical to my ears, so I don't use it.

i originally bought this head and a four 10 cab for work as a bassplayer. then when that ig went south i started playing guitar and this was the amp i had to use so i did. using the octave on guitar is great. i get such a rich sound. i love the thing.

Is is a great head for the buck. Very loud and I'm matching it to an Marshall stack. Have never turned it above half way. I use it with my Ashdown 450 watt 4 10s. Just wish that Deep was on the Footswitch.

I bought this amp about 4 years ago. I needed something cheap, loud, and versatile. This head far exceeded my expectations. I’ve been through many cabinets and variation of effects and no matter what I throw at it, it sounds great. I currently have 2 of them. I run one through an ampeg SVT 8X10 and the other through a hartke 2X15. The sound is crushing. I also throw a drive and distortion pedal in front of it. People are always amazed on how big my sound is. Overall this entire amp should get a 10.
