Most little amps in this price range basically are incapable of sounding good. This one actually has a decent little tone to it. If you mess around with the EQ, you can find a workable tone ( may not be too loud, but decent tone) All the reviews on here about the buzzing must be using super cheap basses, because even with a Fender HWY 1 P bass , it sounded pretty ok. This is no Ampeg, mind you, but if youre looking for a very small, but loud practice amp, this would be a great one to consider. Headphones out jack too, for all you apartment dwellers, as well as a tape out. Cool!

As far as practice amps go, you can't do much better than this for the price. Obviously not powerful enough to play out with, but this thing is great for sitting on the couch and practicing. Looks real smooth now that I took the ugly logo plate off too.

Ex girlfriend let me borrow this when we were together. The amp handles lows and mids like you would expect from an eight inch speaker; you're going to sound paper thin. As a practice amp, you can't go wrong. But honestly, this guy is most practical as a small monitor when you're doing any kind of digital recording. We sat it between the drummer's pedals so that it would keep them from slipping, and flattened the eq so that we could use it to playback the drum sounds from our electric kit. All in all, a pretty handy little guy. Just don't expect amazing tone or clarity.

A fine piece. I use it on my fretless acoustic bass when jamming with friends to get a lil more volume. It sounds really nice and warm, clean too.

This amp is certainly not what I expected it to be. I thought, its small, its gonna be wack..plugged in and thought, BAM! For what its worth, its getting the job done...simple. I like the low round side of the bass realm and it meets my needs.
