tried this amp at a local music store when I was trying out a squire jazz bass I was pleased at how well this little amp sounded, the tone was clean and clear, the speaker sounded solid at low volume, this is a nice low priced practice amp.

ive had this bass amp for a year and im probably going to keep for many more years. this bass is almost perfect but at higher volumes 5 and up the amp vibrates and if you hit the strings kinda hard it will distort a lil at not even a high volume. but thats a cool thing thought cause the virtual tube circuitry gives it a cool bass OD at higher volumes . its a good PRACTICE bass amp.

I got this for my birthday, as I already had a Squier P Special (P/J Pickup configuration) as a first amp. It had a 5-band EQ (Which I tought was cool), and a Tube modeler.

The amp will badly distort if you turn up the volume or EQ. The volume is essentialy the distortion control., so I rarely turn it above 5, and flatten the EQs. I have nt had the plagues that I've heard about from other people, though I haven't gigged with it, but I am scouting out my next one. I've had it about 8 months and it still is as good as when I got it.

The tone is nothing amzing, but it is still good. I will keep it, though I rarely use it. Playing unplugged helps me hear the bass better. Buy it as a practice amp, but don't use it if you want an amzing tone.

good first/practice amp

Pretty good if it's only your first amp or just something to practice with. There is some wicked distortion if the volume or bass EQ is turned past 5 but other than that it's a pretty solid amp to start out on.

This is a great amp for practicing or just warming up. It has great tone and features for such a small amp. DO NOT use this amp for any kind of live event. It would probably blow up. This is just an amp to keep at home. Even with that, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this amp.
