Great Cab for the price

I was looking for a small two ten cab for travel gigs with my band. We play about 200 plus shows a year and I needed something small but something that could handle my Eden WT550. This cab does the job. I actually bought one of these and in the back of my mind I thought it was too good to be true because of the price. So, I then paid more than $800 for a two ten Epifani cab. The Epifani was great... but it sounded just like the Behringer. No offense to the folks who make "higher end" cabs but I think we're moving into a time where you can get much more bang for your buck. With that said, I now own 3 of these two ten cabs. And I STILL haven't paid more than I did when I bought the one Epifani cab. I have owned and played through many different cabs ( Eden, Trace, GK, Peavey, Fender, Epifani, Mark Bass) The two ten Behringer holds up to all of them. You can't beat the price! If you're thinking about getting one of these... do it!!! I use custom made Avatar cabs now but the Behringers still hold a special place in my low end heart!

I play out a few times a month, and was wanting the best for the dollar. These little boxes really put out. Lots of punch, but the one thing I wish they had, instead of a slide switch, was an Attenuator. On the back panel, they do have a 1/4" plug. This is great, because I made my own control that plugs into that rear plug, that I can control the amount of volume out of the horn.

Good for mids

This is a great cabinet for mids, but it does not handle the low end very well. Like the description says, it gives a nice warm classic tone. I play a 5 string and the speakers "fart" on the B and E string, even with the bass turned down on the EQ. I was pushing 450 Watts to the speaker (Behringer BX4500) so it shouldn't be because I was under powering them, even though they are rated at 600 Watts. Instead of returning, I am going to biamp this cabinet with my BB115 and use a crossover to get the mids that it was meant to handle. One downfall is that when using the tweeter, you get a pretty loud hiss, so I just turned mine off. Would have been nice to have attenuator for the tweeter.

This cab works well with the matching power needed. I blew mine out with my peavey 700 watt head and had to get it replaced. Good thing is behringer has a great warranty and even pays for shipping of returned items. Bought a Peavey 8x10 instead. I have the unopened new cab 4sale if anyones interested in saving on shipping email me.

Solid build and solid tone

This cab is a tank! I fell down some cement stairs with it and landed on it and all it did was scuff the plastic corners. The carpet covering is excellent and keeps the cab looking new, no peeling or cracked leather... The tone from this cab is punchy and capable of 5-string performance, and with 600 watts of handling there is no worries of blowing a speaker.

My one qualm, the tweeter. It sounds good until it blows, and it will blow if used during slap or hard picking. Best to leave it off or just go finger style with it on.
