I've owned this amp for about a month now. I bought it without even test driving it. Reviews and word of mouth convinced me I would not be disappointed... and I'm here to say that i'm one satisfied customer. Great Sound and power for such a bargain price. I play at home so I don't use it but for practice and youtube...but if the wife is telling me to turn it down, then I must have something!

I bought this amp and have owned if for about two years now. Take if from me..this amp is awesome. I know that alot of people have negative ideas about Behringer, but they make some good stuff. I move my amp alot and it's still in good shape it's definetly a strongly built amp. Behringer is a german company so obviously before they made amps they made tank, sturdy and strong. Dis sucka is loud and gets' the job done.

I've had mine since January and it was fine for a month sounded great at home (so I can leave my stack where we practice)then starts making a loud pop and loses power. So got it serviced and after 2 weeks of working great last night started the same stuff again. I got it on special so the value was there but after this I don't think I'll be buying behringer anymore. I just hope when they service it again they will actually fix the problem.

I was out to buy an amp/combo today and just about bought this one. After listening to it on a 5-string on the B string I bought a Fender Rumble 60. The Behringer rattled on the B but sound pretty good on upper notes, nearly anything other than the open B. I didn't play with the features much, they are about the same as the Rumble 60 it appears (except the 7 band EQ on this one) Listen before you buy. Try other brands.

Great starter bass amp

I just bought this amp as a starter for my daughter who has been playing acoustic bass for some time and is breaking into electric bass. We got the BXL900A (which has the aluminum cone speaker which is a bit heavier duty.

The tonal controls and FBQ are nice. Although the ultrabass seems a bit muddy. The distortion is ok, but not as useful in bass playing as it might be on guitar. We are using a Fender Jaguar bass that has a lot of its own tonal controls both active and passive so we didn't need a lot of tonal flexibility in the amp. So far, it has performed well and holds its own in jam band situations. Great amp to start off with though.

Features that are missing (you have to go up a model or two in the Behringer line to get these) are an line out to attach an extension speaker cabinet and an effects send/return to insert any sort of effects chain like chorus.
