It offers a truly intuitive approach based on graphical icons to get the sounds that bass players are imagining. No more struggling with parameters on the LCD or multiple cursor commands. As well as the EZ TONE, managing the Boss GT-10B pedal is truly intuitive. For example, the new Positional Tone Control allows tone and effects creation via a revolutionary Tone Grid where you place the pointer in a spatial area depending on what kind of tone or effects you want. Value of the essential parameters shown can be increased/decreased immediately by tweaking four rotary encoder knobs below the LCD. I bought the Boss GT-10B a few months ago to replace my old GT-6B. This beast is a giant leap forward for the most part. This tone modeling and equalizer are actually usable and making playing direct sound great; you have to be careful though, as it will sound very different through your amplifier. The effects are pretty awesome, everything you do and don't need. I already have about 15 different tone setups with a variety of cool sounds ranging from warm, jazzy tone to a Cliff-like overdrive/wah setup (with an Orion synth switch) to purely ambient outer space trip-out sounds. The effects sound good mostly, but it can't compare with using multiple single effects. Sure it's a bit pricey, but it's much cheaper than the arsenal of single effects pedals it would take to replicate what this one unit can do. Overall I absolutely love this pedal! This monster offers countless hours of crafting your sound and honing your creativity; I'm always making new effects and creating new sounds. I recommend this pedal to any bassist looking to expand beyond the realm of the traditional bass player.

I've been playing for over 20 years now and in that time I've owned alot of multi-effects pedals. This is the best one I've ever had hands down (even better than my Line6 equipemnt). This unit is easy to use and can get you any sound you're looking for. It's a breeze to make your own sounds and with the loop station built in, you can add more musicality to your playing. I would recommend this product to any bass player.

Recently purchased a new BOSS GT-10B for semi-pro play. I am very impressed with the new offering. I replaced a GT-6B and find the 10B easier to set up and modify. EZ Tone helps us unfamiliar with the details to make some great patches with reasonable ease. The visual mod feature is my favorite new tool. You don't HAVE to completely understand what you're changing, and using this featurewill HELP you understand. Highly recommended for the serious amateur or pro.

Built like a tank, a screen you can see from anywhere, and every effect you could ever want. All the menues and controls are a breeze to navigate. The only thing I was a little stumped on was how the A/B channels work. This thing is amazing, thats all I have to say.
