Its extra-deep jumbo body, solid Western red cedar top, and Breedlove Atlas bracing system generates warm, deep bass tone. It also comes with solid mahogany back and sides, abalone soundhole rosette, offset Breedlove pattern pearl fingerboard inlays, JLD Bridge Truss system, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, Fishman Classic electronics, and chrome Grover tuners.

Each spectacular Atlas Series bass is designed and engineered to attain these same qualities at an accessible price. They feature scalloped bracing, a pinless bridge, a dual-action truss rod, and the JLD Bridge Truss System. The bridge, fingerboard, and peghead overlay on each model are made from Indian rosewood and tops are crafted from solid wood. They have an ebony end pin, dovetail neck joint, and a slightly narrower nut (1-5/8"). All models have the same low string action for fast, comfortable playing. They're all set up and hand-inspected at Breedlove headquarters and come strung with light-gauge D'Addario EXP strings.

Amazing acoustic

This bass is truly an nice piece of work, I have played some acoustics and some very nice acoustics. Taylor has made some very nice basses, and since this company was started out of some guys who were at Taylor, they have done a superb job. As far as other acoustic basses Martin, they were alright. I really like playing this bass and definately recommend checking one out if you are in the market for an acoustic bass.

The fretless has an amazing feel and I has a great feeling in the body. The wood is nice and has very decent tone. I have not yet played it when amplified, however unplugged it plays very well and sounds good.

Wonderful Acoustic Fretless Bass

I absolutely love my Breedlove Atlas fretless acoustic bass guitar. I've had it for 6 months and it's hard to put it down. Quality is great. Nice looking. But the reason I love it is the way it sounds and how easily it plays. It sounds fantastic as pure acoustic, but the built-in electronics are also quite good. I owned a Martin acoustic bass for several years, but this breedlove is much better and considerably cheaper. It's head and shoulders better than any of the other acoustic bass guitars I've played at lesser prices. For just a couple hundred more dollars you can move into a whole different class of sound. My fretless really sings and the tone is shimmering, unlike other fretless acoustics which I've always found to be flabby and lifeless. I didn't shop for this guitar. Just picked it up in a music store one day, played it for about 15 minutes, and headed to the counter to buy it. Even though my wife nagged me for bringing home another bass, it was well worth it. I wouldn't trade it for anything, even maybe my wife. If you're considering an acoustic bass, do yourself a favor and check out the Breedlove basses.
