With 50W and a 12" bass driver, the compact Crate BT50 Bass Combo Amp can hold its own at the gig. It has 2 channels: a distortion channel with gain, shape, and level controls; and a clean channel with level, 4-band EQ, and an octave switch with level for boosting bottom end. It includes the CSF2 2-button footswitch for switching channels and kicking in the octave switch from the floor. Limiter, chromatic tuner, headphone jack, and CD inputs are also incorporated.

When i had this amp

it worked alright, each time i used it clear as a bell, and ship shape each time.

Til one day i plugged it in, turned it on, it blew out, i returned it and got this lower grade peavey amp, not satisfied at all.

I got this amp about 3 months ago and I have had no problems with it. It is probably the best bass amp you can get for the money. It is so powerful that it shakes my house and scares the dog to death. The distortion is pretty crappy but a distortion pedal will fix that. Overall this amp is great. BUY IT

This amp is great. For the price it's a ridiculous steal. It has a nice clean tone and a 4 band EQ, which is nice. Plenty loud for small venue gigging as well as practicing (shakes my house). Small, light, and portable with plenty of punch. The octave effect is nice, but the distortion pedal isn't great. Comes with a footswitch, which is cool especially for the octave effect. The distortion is only good at low gain as just a boost pedal. Overall, great value, great amp, great buy.

I received this amp yesterday and took it straight to a gig. It was very easy to dial in the tone that i needed. Played from 7 pm till 1 am on this bad burner and im very happy with it. Very happy with its sound though and for the price it cant be beat!
