I don't like the shape, but I have...

I don't like the shape, but I have heard it has a really good tone. I wouldn't compare this to any of my "real" guitars, but for a little bit of money and a starter guitar for a little girl. It might be a good deal. I would never be found playing this thing because of the shape and it might be uncomfortable to play sitting down. I don't like to be too girly. I want a guitar that is actually normal shaped. I don't really care about the color of the guitar, but I want it to be normal shaped. Now, I am not putting this guitar down, I have never played it, but I just wouldn't buy it.

Try it out if you think it is cute.

this is my second bass. i bought this bass because i wanted something sized better for me (as a small woman)...and the fact it looked so cool didn't hurt either. i love the sound of it. however, i've had problems with it hurting my shoulder when i'm standing, and sitting with it is really awkward. my problems are exacerbated by some rsi issues from my job, but if comfort is an issue, you might want to keep looking.

Daughter's first bass

My daughter has been interested for years in playing but my basses were too cumbersome for her. This bass caught her eye of course, but was also easy for her to play...short scale ,suprisingly good action. I was also impressed with the tone from it.It has seymour duncan pickups..not a wide range of sounds but round and even. The only negatives are that it is awkward to sit with without a strap and I think its a bit too expensive for an entry level bass considering all the extras you get with other starter kits. Still ,no other bass has held her interest like this one and we will probably purchase it very soon.

This is one sizzling little bass. It's punchy and growling tone are amazing, and it's truly built with a girls frame and size in mind. the construction is supreme and is just right for small hands, and it may look cutesie but it's no piece of fluff. It weighs a little less than a fender p-bass and rocks hard! Highly recommended.
