Pickups are not too good. Honestly I do not like this bass at all, I suggest schecters. Battery dies quite quckly unless I got a defect. I wouldnt buy this again, find something else in my opinion. And the neck feels kinda weak.

I tried this bass out used at my local music store. While it has decent pickups, tone, and features/playability. There were a few minor flaws such as buzz on the D string(probably caused by a faulty nut slot). Still a nice bass for getting into the Extended Range bass style, at a not TOO heavy price. I will still be buying a Rogue LX406 first though.

Got mine in Nov '99. This Bass is Solid. The basswood really provides a familiar sound (Fenders were basswood in the 70's), with a nice punch. Only had to replace 2 items, both in the 1st year, The D tuner, and a screw in the horn for my strap.I'd buy it again. Can't beat the value!

This is an awesome bass for the price. I've used this thing on Everything from Jazz to Country to Funk and it shows the quality I expected of it. I have other more expensive basses, but this one seems to be the one I go to to get the "sound". One thing, though..GOTTA have heavy gauge strings if you're gonna slap on this baby...dunno, but it's a preference of mine. Peace.
