Transparent Amber Transparent Black

Quilted maple with a deep, transparent finish, besides being beautiful, always lends a sense of mystery to an instrument. The blending of nature's creativity with that of a luthier who obviously loves the craft never grows tiresome. So it is with Dean's Edge Pro 4-string electric bass guitar. An extra long upper cutaway horn contributes to the look of partnership with nature's asymmetrical beauty, and the gold hardware, dark pickups and control knobs finish the look nicely. Top if all off with the Dean Bass Clef inlay at the 12th fret.

Under the great looks, the maple and walnut neck-thru construction provides your instrument with great strength and warm, dark, full tone. The 3-band active EQ combined with two soapbar pickups means you'll never be at a loss for ways to tweak your sound to find just the right fit for each style you play.

The Edge Pro bass has 24 frets on a medium sized C shape neck that will let you perform smooth running lines with ease, plus allow you to become a little adventurous and try some chording if it strikes your fancy. A convenient flip-open 9V compartment hides around back in case you need to make a quick battery change in the middle of a set.

This guitar is really good for a first or second bass. I meant to get the tiger eye color but I recieved transparent amber instead. I decided to keep it anyway. I had a couple of problems with the active pickups. It was making a crackly noise so I it to a local store and get it fixed. Other than a few small problems this bass is great for the price.

Hands down an amazing bass

This bass offers an amazingly wide variety of tone and is flexible to any genre that you could probably want to play, be it metal, jazz, funk, etc. The bass weighs near nothing and the active pick ups give it great power and son. The finish is absolutely beautiful, the neck runs VERY smooth and it never seems to come out of tune. All-in-all Dean once again provides the best basses on the market in my opinion.

I must admit that this is by far the best bass I have ever had. The light weight, fast action, and tone and sustain is just bliss.

If you ever wanted a very good high end quality bass with out the huge price tag, then this is it.

The Bass of a Lifetime!

I have several basses from USA Fenders to Spectors. I really wanted to get a Dean, so I ordered the Edge Pro. I expected it to be pretty good, considering that it is the top of the line Dean, but nothing could prepare me for this.

The action is insanely fast, even for sweep arpeggios and tapping. The tone has a growling, compressed sound that I've only found on extremely expensive basses costing several times that of this one.

Oh, and this thing will sustain for days. No joking. The neck-thru design does wonders. This is now my main studio and stage bass. It plays and sounds great, weighing practically nothing.
