I bought this bass a few years ago and have been very pleased with it. It has great tone but needed some tweaking on the intonation and action but once that was out of the way it has been one of my most used basses in my arsenal(I own 8 basses).I play "lead" bass in a band with 2 bass players and this beast lets me run effortlessly 1 or 2 octaves higher than our pocket man. My only gripe was a large blemish on the neck pickup cover that I have not been able to resolve as yet but for the price I didn't expect perfection. If you want to jump into the 6 string arena this is the bass to do it with.

I got this bass to see if I would even like a 6 string having only played 5 and 4 string. This is great. Plays great, sounds great, looks great. I'm so surprised it isn't more, I also own Alembics, G&L, vintage Fender, and this is my only 6 string and I don't plan on replacing it any time soon. If you're looking for a great bass for a great price get it. I don't know much about Dean but so far their products are great.

I could not be more satisfied with this product. I've never played a Dean before so this is my first one. I've always been a 4 string P-Bass person. I wanted the two extra octives with a good quality bass for pennys on the dollar. This is it. The EMGs are freaking awesome tasty tone and uber punchy. I play through a GK Backline 600 setup, sounds absolutely amazing. The only thing I didn't like was the outer box was severely damaged in shipping, but the bass was survived. Neck isn't too wide and the strings are slightly floppy but you could always put some new ones on. Overall this is a great bass.

I have owned this bass about a year, and it has been awesome. its a little top heavy but light overall. Once you play it awhile you get used to the wider neck. It sounds as good as it looks and is well worth the price if your short on cash. If I lost this one or damaged it beyond repair I would buy another in a heart beat.
