Transparent Red Sunburst

Though the first Z guitars and basses came out in the early sixties, it's a style that seems contemporary even today. And this very affordable Dean model is a well-made and very easy playing instrument. Maple neck, rosewood fretboard, chrome hardware, and P-J style pickups with volume/volume/tone controls.

This bass is probably the best bass Ive ever owned. I've owned fenders and gibsons and they all suck compared to this bass. It is very light and I don't think its neck heavy at all. This bass is simply awesome and the explorer shape satisfies my need for an extreme shape. Buy this bass now.

I love this bass so much. I love the sound it makes, how light the body is, and how many frets there are.

The only complaints would be about how neck heavy it is, and how you're pretty screwed if you want to use strap locks, since the top strap knob is on the neck itself, and the bolts you usually get for the strap locks are a lot smaller then what you need to keep the neck in place.

Also, you need to adjust the action on it big time.

All in all though, my favorite bass :)

I got this bass from my wife for my brithday. (yeh...cool wife, huh?) It is THE most comofrtable bass I have ever played on, end of story. After playing this for a while, I find it hard to switch to a standard-body bass. It is very light, but still has planty of sustain. I only wish theat the sunburst had not been discontinued; black was my second choice. I am replacing the bridge (which is quality, but doesn't match the color) with a black Bada** and a the pickups(also quality) with creme colored dimarzio's , just for a cooler look.. the 2 volume knobs have clear contrast between the 2 pickups, and a very versatile blend feature lets you eq in just the right tone for your amp. Buy this bass, it's great. or have your wife buy it. who cares?

I saw this babe in a local shop. I already love it becose of its sound and look. I never saw a Z bass like that. The sound is deep and good for the music I play. Also its not expensive. I will maybe soon buy it.

I can simply say RIGHT ON!!!, it feels awesome, plays awesome, great tone, great look. I own 3 basses and this is my favorite one. Dean makes great quality guitars and it looks like I'll stick to them from now on. Really worth the money. The only downfall is the size and difficulty of getting a case for this bass.
