Poor quality with no support

When I first received this pedal I played with it. It only had about 30 different sound sellections and they didn't sound very different fom one another so it was trully only about 8 different sounds. About a week after I got it, it began glitching on the digital display. I jumps all around threw the diffent setting and it does it so quickly that you can not even read what it is set at. I wrote digitech and they refered me to there repair shop list. None of the companies I have writen have writen me back. I have a in home studio, its not like I had this thing at some gig with all that wear and tear. It never left my house, or the floor where I first put it for that matter. It's junk, don't buy it.

I got this pedal for a psychedelic grunge project, and it was lovely for that, except I wanted much more power. the effects are kinda weak (with the exception of the gritty patch, which I like) and some of them seem a little delayed or out of sync with me hitting the notes. Its alot of fun to record with if you know how to beef it up, but all that has to be done outside of the box.  Overall, the sound is just a little too plastic for me, but its a good toy to write with or just goof off.

Better than Zoom B2!!

I just got his yesterday after buying it and it BLOWS away the Zoom B2!! I was researching pedals for awhile and settled on the Zoom B2 because I've used Zoom pedals for many years. It was ok but I wanted more. The BP 200 has major punch to it. You can get some great patches from the Digitech site like a Geddy sound and Entwistle sound. I added the Geddy patch and a picture flew off the top shelf in my closet!! Feels like I got punched I the chest! I've read bad reviews about the patches but they're not ALL bad. In fact I've adjusted some minorly and use them now. I've had it less than 24 hours and have about 15 workable patches that sound great. The volume/wah pedal is awesome too. I can't wait for the next gig now!! No qualms about this pedal. You WILL have a punchy sound with it!!

I bought this Digitech BP-200 used for the bass whammy harmony effect and I must say that it was not a very good whammy. The whammy has a delay that was unacceptable and it did not track very well unless it was in the key of e which I found to be strange. I also noticed an unacceptable amount of hiss when using the 1/4 out. The presets pretty much suck aside from a few. The amp and cab sims were useless in my opinion (especially the cab sims). The fact that you can only use one instance of each type of effect sucks (I.E. no chourus and whammy at the same time). I'm also not sure why a midi in was not implemented. I'm sure you are wondering why I rated it as high as I did. I intially thought the thing was a complete bust (it was for whammy) until I started using it with headphones to practice with at night. Plugged in the phones and magically no hiss. So I started messing around with it and found that the thing has some pretty cool abilities once you start tweaking it. I was able to get some pretty incredible bass synth sounds out of it. The delays and reverbs sound great and supprisingly most of the effects are stereo. If you buy this pedal do yourself a favor and get an adaptor and use the headphone outs. They should have put left and right 1/4 outputs on it and used the same signal chain as the headphones so the thing doesn't hiss. I would also have liked to have had true bypass. I will be modding mine to acheive both of these things so it will be useable on stage. I'm actually pretty stoked about using the bass synth stuff and the reverbs. I have spent a couple of hours programming presets that I will use. Now if I could get to those patches quickly with a midi in.
