The EBS BassIQ Triple Envelope Filter delivers big, bad, and luscious funk bass sounds. It gives you 3 different modes to choose from: Hi-Q, Up, and Down. Up mode is the classic envelope filter sound while Down, as you'd guess, is the opposite; it reverses the attack of the filter. Hi-Q delivers auto-wah type effects that react to your playing touch. Threshold and Attack knobs let you get it on with the right amount of funk.

EBS bass effect pedals are designed to preserve the entire frequency range of your bass signal, use noiseless FET switching, are suitable both for studio and live use, feature robust construction, and are easy to use.

I just recently purchased this pedal and I couldn't be more pleased. I've spent a very long time looking for a versatile bass envelope filter and haven't found one quite like this. The problem I've always had was pedals cutting out some of the low end and other times over the top highs but this pedal is absolutely perfect. In some cases it even adds more low to my tone.

My only complaint is that for my particular bass I have to practically turn the threshold all the way up to get the pedal to work but I'm sure in time I'll figure that out. I've read that depending on your bass and its output level your threshold will have to be adjusted accordingly.

It is a really good analog style envelope filter pedal and sounds great on slap stuff. I try to get a bass synth sound out of it for Herbie Handcock style music, but it is just not the right pedal for that. I am spoiled having owned a Deep Impact pedal with the best bass synth sound imaginable. Unfortunately I broke that one. The Bass IQ has been a good substitute, but I really miss the Deep Impact pedal.

I tried this unit out when checking out other bass filters/wahs... holy smokes this thing rocks and its totally silent, no hissing or cracking. The funny thing is that I played this one first and after that the other filters that sounded decent for half or a third of the price were sounding pretty bad but this EBS unit has a pretty hefty price on it for one or two different sounds though if you have the money and want wah/filter perfection absolutely buy it!

I know own the EBS BassIQ Triple Envelope Filter Pedal and must say that I have long seached for a pedal with full pumping bass sound with that funky Bootsy shwoop. I have a Bass POD live and an Agent 00Funk Mark2, but neither really captures the funk. I have tried the E.H.Auto Q and Micro Q tron, the Otto line 6 filter, the DigiTech Bass Synth Wah X-Series, Ashdown Bass Envelope Filter Pedal, and the Line 6 FM4 Filter Stompbox Modeler Pedal. They all fell short of what I wanted in in a funkifying basstronic electomodulification!! The EBS seems to have been desinged by and built for BASS players. The up mode has a classic funk sound but lets uses the full thick bass sound going in and does not change it into some thin guitar sound. The down mode has the expected shorter percussive drop off. Then the Hi-Q adds a whole new dimension to the classic sound which is quite fun. I have not had the chance to acquire a Mu-tron, but I think this comes close to matching the Iconic Funikiness that I searched for over the years! I would highly recommend this product and will likely be checking out thier other pedals when the chance arrisies!

I love this pedal! While not as gritty and juicy as a Mu-Tron or Moogerfooger, the BassIQ is plenty funky, and the unit is SILENT! Beware of the "down" setting, it can hurt yer speakers! If you want the best, this is it!!!
