Much like its 4-string brother the ESP B-104, the LTD B-105 is short on scale, but big on great sound. Its extra string allowes you to delve even deeper into the barrel of bass grooves. Its dual ESP SB-5 pickups w/ESP ABQ-2 2-band active EQ capture the bright tones created by the basswood body, bolt-on maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Style-wise this 5-string bass also has thick, beveled edges which accentuate the body's rounded curves. The upper horn is elongated while a deep cutaway along the much smaller lower horn gives you better access to the lowest of the 24 XJ frets. It's also got a unique angular cut at the end of the fretboard, underneath the strings, a shapely headstock, and chrome hardware, which give this bass exceptional flair.

Awesome Bass For The Money

I bought this bass to replace my 4-string Kona bass. What a major improvement! The deep tone itself will make a fall in love. The color is real nice, its darker in person than in a picture. With mine, I had two problems. One, is a "miner" problem, the bass comes with bad action. The strings are way to faraway from the fretboard. But no biggy, that can be fixed easy. The second one, major. The clear coating on the neck had a chip. After playing it at two gigs, it got bigger. Finally, I took it to a pro who found dipoles all along the neck. Had to sent it back, but now, my new one is PERFECT! Try comparing this bass with the Ibanez SS's for just about the same price. This bass is way better then Ibanez

I own a ESP F-405 which I use for shows and recording, but was looking for something to keep in the garage to simply practice on. And this bass was worth every penny. The only problem I've encountered with it is slight buzzing when tuned in full step down. This was solved by upgrading the strings. Besides that one slight flaw this bass is dang near show or studio quality. I would highly recomend this bass to anyone looking to learn to play or who is looking to experiment with a GOOD 5-string.

I bought this bass about a month ago to replace my 4 string Washburn T12. This is the second bass that I have owned and is a HUGE improvement over my crappy Washburn. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted a 5 string, as I had never played one before, but I am glad I decided to take a chance and buy it.

This bass has an excellent tone and it looks awesome, although I kind of wish that the finish was a bit more...vibrant, but not a big deal.

Also, it is unfortunate that the price rose shortly after I bought it, but even at its new price it is still a great value.

I bought this as my first bass. I was gonna get a regular 4 stringer but my friend plays bass and he has a 5-stringer that's sick so I got one too. I went for this one because my ESP electric guitar is awesome so I knew this would be a good bass. I was right! The finish looks punk in real life and the only thing that needed changing was the strings and messin' with the truss rod. Awesome bass!

I basically bought this bass out of desperation. I've been playing bass for thirteen years, all on 4-string basses. When the itch/need to buy a new bass came I was not going to buy a 5-string because I'd never played one and had heard the stories about the difficulties in transition from 4's to 5's. I've been extremely happy that I did decide to buy this guitar. It sounds great for the most part (does buzz when tuned to STD 1-step down) but sounds good in standard tuning. Sounds good in the studio, and I would even take it to do gigs if I wasn't able to do it with my F-404. All in all great guitar for the money. Not as nice as my F-404 but a lot cheaper. And I look forward to buying the ESP F-405. Great budget guitar.
