i had this bass for only about 2 weeks. first of all, the price is out of this world and the spalted maple finish is icing on the cake! the neck was the easiest playing 6 string i have ever touched! sadly, some bills came in and it came down to this and a brand new traben array 5, which is why i only owned this bass for about 2 weeks.

So i had to wait well over 2 months for this bass due to back order (not Musician's Friends fault) but because ESP can't keep up with their own product lines. So i finally get it, and ESP did such a bad job packaging the Bass that the bottom of the bass near the control knobs was exposed and had rubbed up against the card board leaving several black marks in the body. I wasn't too upset with this because luckily it cleaned right up. Then i go to plug it in, and NO SOUND comes out. So i replace the battery, and STILL NOTHING. So after checking all my cables several times i decided to take the back plate off the bass to check the wires, and as soon as i took the plate off and pushed a few wires out of the way the bass came to life. So now i have to have a wire zip-tied in the back of the bass to keep the wire crimped to make sure the sound works, and then right on the back plate is a big fat sticker that says 'ESP - Inspected By:' and written in big fat permeant marker is written 'NR' (Not Required)?? This bass was made in Indonesia for ESP and least to say very VERY disappointed by the quality. But when the bass does work, its a killer axe, I would highly recommend anyone to try a 6 string bass if their ready for the next level, but I'm not sure i would recommend an ESP 6-String. I will probably send this back. Cheers.

I just got this beast earlier today and couldn't be more in love with it. If you're even thinking of trying a six-string, go with this. It plays much more nicely than the Spectors and Schecters that I've handled. The only adjustment I had to make out of the box was lowering the pickups a touch and raising the B string saddle, but the thing plays like a dream otherwise. It's very bright, be forewarned, but that translates to a great low-end growl. Buy. This. Bass.

I have always wanted to try a six string bass since many of my influences play them and it is challenging, so i when to a local music store and tried this bass and it was great. Tone was clear, eq suited my playing style and great for Les Claypool and Victor Wooten type tapping. Overall great bass, the only thing I found hard was slap bass but hey I just started playing six string.

I bought this bass about 6 months ago. I wasn't even really looking to get a 6-string, but I saw this one in the shop, played on it, and bought it. I've never been happier with any other bass. It had the right blend of lows and mids, and the highs add so much clarity. This thing is rock solid and the tone is wicked! Thanks ESP for making such a killer bass!
