Monster Power - Great Tone

I had tried all kinds of PA amps for my bass rig including the venerable Crown Macrotechs. I switched to PA amps because I could never get the punch and definition I desired (at the same time) from GK, Ampeg, or Genz Benz.

When I played my preamp through the WT1250 I was floored. I sounded warm and organic like my old Mesa 400 tube amp, but had the punch and clarity of my Crown.

The tone knobs on the amp are all I need to account for the acoustics of different rooms and cabinet positions. I dial in my preamp tone at home and tweak the 1250 when I am playing live.
