A very good distortion pedal or a good bass boost pedal. The sustain on this baby is very nice and diverse, enabling you to customize your bass tone with the tone knob and the 3 modes. And if you want to convert it to a bass boost pedal just turn the sustain all the way down and there you go I very must suggest this pedal if you want a little more versatility and a very good price. Also this pedal is built well, allowing you to stomp on it with a good amount of force.

This is the first pedal that i have brought and i absolutly love the tone and sound that it can produce. I like how you can get a gruntly tone by turning up the sustain just a little bit. It truly is a great pedal for the money!

I bought this Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi because I wanted to sound like another guy's sound. I got way much more than I thought I was gonna get, because I got that heavy sound I wanted. This is hands down the best money I've ever invested when it comes to my equipment. The Bass Boost Gives you the deep sound i want, and then the Normal setting gives you the classic Big Muff Sound. And the Dry setting is hands down indescribable. Amazing pedal.

This little pedal allows you to go to any extreme of distortion or fuzz. From Cliff Burton's "Anesthesia" to Muse's "Hysteria" I've found you can get the right tone for whatever you want. It's my first pedal, but I don't see needing another one for quite some time.
