The Electro-Harmonix USA Bassballs Effects Pedal is a twin dynamic envelope follower for electric bass and guitar. Bassballs uses 2 critically tuned, sweeping dynamic filters that respond sensitively to attack variations creating shifting peaks and notches to produce vowel-like overtones. The switchable distortion mode's warm harmonic distortion intensifies the overtones and deep resonance of the effect. The Envelope Follower's sensitivity control determines how sensitive the filters are to playing dynamics and lets the musician tailor Bassballs' sound to the output level of a particular instrument. This Electro-Harmonix effects pedal is housed in the original-style steel chassis and packaged in a distinctive pine box.

I just recently bought this pedal with christmas money, and I must say im not disappointed at all. The axe I wield is a fender deluxe jazz bass. The distortion is neither to little or too much, and actually adds a little boost to my signal. On clean with the trebles shining through, there is a very tasteful sound reminiscient of early primus. Looking back on it, I dont think i wasted my money.

Wow...what a cool pedal! First off, Electro-Harmonix is AWESOME! I own 5 EHX pedals for Bass and Guitar, and am OVERLY impressed with their performance, plus they are made in NYC, USA! BassBalls has a funky feel unlike any envelope filter I've used. Very vowel like tones, almost like human speech, and add the distortion, and you'll be sent into writhing, sonic extacy! Great price, great pedal, great for Guitar as well! Can't go wrong with EHX!

Ok first off, this pedal is unbelievable. The envelope filter combined with distortion sounds great. The change in sound between bass and guitar is really awesome. I also have a dunlop crybaby wah and the dunlop crybaby bass wah and they both sound great through this thing. I would reccomend this version over the non-USA version because its manufactured better.

I've had this pedal for a while now and have never had any problems. Though it does sound kind of iffy on some amps it's a great pedal. I'm not a big fan of the distortion on it but the clean tone is great. If you have 80 bucks to spare, get this pedal.

When this pedal came and I plugged it intoi my amp for the 2st time it was amazing. The distortion adds an amazign bottome end destorted drone, along with my other effects (boss ceb-3 bass chours, and dunlop 105q bass wah) it helps shape my tone into something that sounds good to me and everyone around me.

I would highly suggest buying this product
