Nice Little Bass

I have owned two of these and learned something. The first one I bought used it came in the EB0 starter package. This one was super cheap it had a veneered laminated multi ply body and really cheap tuners. The second one was $199 and this is not the same guitar. This one has a mahogany body and better tuners. I got this as a stage backup for my Gibson SG bass. It is solid and reliable. It stays in tune fairly well. I did one small modification and that was to add a capacitor to the tone pot. Before that the tone control did almost nothing. The action on mine was very adjustable and I have it setup to my liking. I think this is the bass for you if you want to get a feel for the Gibson short scale SG basses it also makes a great stage backup bass in case you break a string or something.

This was my first bass. I have had it for about two years. When i bought it I didn't really care about tone or durability. This bass has an okay tone but it is not very good. With in the first two months the right strap holder fell off because the wood could not take the weight of the bass. The neck is now so warped that it is unusable. The bridge is starting to fall off because it cannot handle the tension of the strings. If I were you i would spend the same amount of money and buy an Ibanez. they sound better and last longer.

I got this bass after i decided the P bass wasn't the sound i wanted. i got it home and being new to guitars over a hundred dollars, thought it was great. But it seemed to lose ability over time. the nut broke when i was restringing it, i couldn't get any twang out of it, and i had to raise the action to get it to stop buzzing. but if your looking for a sturdy guitar. this is the one, it fell out of a guitar wall stand, fell a foot and a half, and landed neckfirst into my dresser, one nick.

My first bass and if you are a beginner you can't go wrong with this bass but if you have any playing experience and are planning on playing in a band save up for something else, if you have a 200 dollar budget i would recommend the B.C. Rich Warlock Bronze, it's a much better guitar, if you play reggae do not get this bass
