where to start, comparing this to the previous installments this obviously wins, granted i didnt like the pickups and the bridge is in need os a swap it is better playing, and sounding, and especially better feeling,it even has a rubber grip pad for the idiots that insist on resting it on your leg as you play, fit and finish are nice, chances are itll need a little setup work considering every instrument does and it IS NOT a 30 inch scale, its 34,but the frets seem a little close.im very fond of this bass and its worth the money paid for it

This bass looks great, sounds good and feels good and is a great value for the price. It probably won't be a primary instrument for most people, but it is cool to have. If you are looking for a fun second (or third) instrument - consider this Flying V.

Epiphone Flying V bass!

First off, the bass only had 20 frets. I prefer 24 frets for my style of playing, but thats just me. Second, this bass is a royal pain in the ass to play sitting down, but it is overall a good sounding bass. Has that great epiphone sound, but I recommend the Explorer Bass, or better yet, the amazing Epiphone Viola Bass.

It's actually quite a lovely little short scale bass. Output is not overwhelming, but tone is perfectly adequate (given that these OEM strings may not be the best). I think there's a great potential here, and the V body is certainly one of the greatest Gibson shapes ever. They're cheap and they play well, by all means go and pick one of these up while Epiphone offers them.

Great Bass

This bass is simply amazing. I got the black and I am absolutely amazed. I've read reviews that say you can't play this bass sitting down and I beg to differ, its quite easy actually. Also this is a great bass for slap. It is a little neck heavy so buy a leather strap and you'll be fine. The finish was flawless and the tone is excellent. I would compare the tone to an 82 Fender Bullet Bass that I have but with more options. I can get this all the way from Geddy Lee/Chris Squire sound to a Jazz swing bass sound. Simply put this bass is a great bass, it looks amazing, buy it before they're gone!!
