Natural Crimson Transparent Transparent Blue, Headstock Transparent Blue, Angle

The new Aerodyne Classic Precision Bass Special bridges the gap between Fender's ultra-progressive Aerodyne body profile and the vintage design of the highly revered, hard-working, and hard-hitting bass that started it all.

The figured maple top with cream binding and choice of eye-catching transparent finishes take the Aerodyne concept to a new style level, while its uniquely radiused body design enhances comfort and maintains the traditional Precision vibe.

Fender Aerodyne Classic Precision Bass Guitar Special Features:

  • Basswood body topped with figured maple
  • C-shaped maple neck with 7.25"-radius
  • 20-fret rosewood fingerboard
  • Body matching headstock
  • 3-ply mint-green pickguard
  • Chrome bridge and tuning machine
  • Split single-coil Precision Bass Pickup in the middle position
  • Single-coil Jazz Bass pickup at the bridge
  • Polyurethane finish

Great bass for the price and then some

Wow,I am so glad I got one of these while I could. I am not a Fender fan. I always felt this style was too heavy and bulky. But I do love this bass. This is a great bass for the price and then some. It's well made, sounds and plays great too. The fit and finish and overall quality is excellent. I love the balance and especially the slimmer, contoured body. Having both a jazz and precision pickup gives it flexibility and makes it very versatile; Rock, Soul, Blues, Funk and Jazz all work fine with this bass. Also sound integrity holds up well playing loud, soft and in between. I usually only bring this one bass to a gig now. I have had it over a year and it works great and stays in tune nicely. Everybody else that has played it really likes it as well. Great bass for the bucks and better than most at this price.

This bass is insane! Love it the sound is amazing and don't get me started on the finish! I'm a very busy musican and it's great how light it is. I love how I can switch from a jazz tone for my schools band then go to heavy tone for my hardcore stuff without switchn basses. Great buy just the knobs were lose when I got it but easy to fix. If your a bassist with style out side of your music you should buy the aerodyne !

Best of P and J bass in one

This is a very sleek and beautiful bass. I’ve had the Blue model for about 6 months and just love it. The workmanship is absolutely perfect. I have not found a single flaw in any part. Really holds its tune too. One thing that’s not mentioned in the write-up is that it has a Jazz neck rather than the wider P neck. So you get a Precision body with a Jazz neck which I think is the best of both worlds. I liked the original round-wound strings but I replaced them with a set of chrome flat-wounds and I think it sounds even better.

The Aerodyne will blow you away. Once you play it you won't be able to shake the thought of it. It is perfect for those who love that punk feel, it can go from a fat, deep tone to a Mike Dirntish kind of feel. If you can afford it, the only thing better in it's range is a Spector.

Be carefull with the jack socket

I was looking for another bass when I came across a red Aerodyne. I am very pleased with how it compares with my other "Real" American basses. The main issue I have is the location of the jack socket means that if I catch the plug with my leg the sound has gone. Easily cured with a right angle jack plug but some of these don't fit as the socket is recessed. Sort this out and the guitar is brilliant.
