The Fender B-DEC 30 (Bass Digital Entertainment Center) is both an entertainment center and a teaching/training tool for bass players. It includes 70 loops called Performance Presets which provide instrumental accompaniment for many musical styles and teacher loops which help bassists develop and refine basic techniques. The B-DEC 30 has eight of the most popular bass amps and 18 effects models combined with musical loops for endless jamming fun. Each loop has drum, guitar, and keyboard sounds along with a guide bass track, and each instrument can easily be muted. The internal synthesizer with MIDI interface allows playback of any MIDI file and can store up to 64 MIDI song files. Could have been better

I bought this with the intent to pratice my chops but the controls are confusing. Hate the dial wheel control.It's a big pain getting stuck in the loop programs. Not enough varity with the practice moded and some of the effects are useless. The amp distorts on most of the Bassman settings.

It's true about the features. It's got some tasty effects, and having the other instruments accompanying is pretty awesome. Built-in tuner's nice as well. Only knock is it's lack of power. For this price, it's missing some muscle, but if you're not looking for a beast, and would rather have the brains than the brawn, this is the only way to go.

If you are just beginning, or have been at it for years, this amp is the perfect practice companion.

Tuning is easy thanks to built in tuner, and pre-recorded drum tracks will improve your timing.

The effects and various amp simulations are a fun part of the package.

I recommend it to anyone who is serious about learning bass and wants to progress FAST.

I use this amp where I take lessons, It has some awesome features , but what I like best is the second input in the rear that allows my instructor to plug in a Guitar and we jam using the b-dec as a drum machine and keyboard player by muting the guitar and bass. Also the deck allows you to slow the tempo of the tracks down to speed up the learning curve on some of the songs, which in my opinion are a challenge. Also the Loop feature allows you to record a phrase and play it back and record. Finally, I would recommend this amp for any style or level bass player looking for a practice amp.

This amp is cool just because it has alot of doo-dads, but it cant really be utalized. Why is essential for an amp to have so many different voices if it cannot be heard unless you totally alone in an empty room. This amp does not cut through other guitars in the room, much less a drummer. if you are recording or something like that this would be good, but if you buy this dont expect to be heard by many.
