Great Amp with no danger of back problems

A friend of mine recently bought this amp with a bass that he bought. I am his bass teacher and let me tell you I love playing through this amp. We don't turn it up past halfway and it sounds like its cranked. One of the first times I played through it I was blown away at how much volume and punch it packed. I just had to find out how heavy it was. I picked it up and noticed that it was lighter then a lot of other amps that I've played through in my years of playing. If the amp that I am using now ever quits working theres a good chance that I'll by this amp.

Well I just joined a band not to long ago,and used a fender rumble 15,and had to play out of the PA because it wasn't loud enough. Then I got my Bassman 150, and I love it . This amp is such a great step up from my rumle fifteen. Nothing has gone wrong at all. I think its a high quality amp for anyone who is serious about playing bass guitar. You will be pleased with your purchase.

And the price didn't really go up too much with the recent Fender price hike. I have had mine for a year now and totally love it. With the horn at full it really has a very full frequency spectrum response. It's quite transparent, so if you like the sound of your INSTRUMENT or pedals or whatever, this is a great amp. If you need an amp to color the sound of your instrument it might not be the best choice for you. This may be the issue another reviewer was having with their active electronics bass.

I have found that the preamp clips fairly early on this thing, I never have the Volume knob more than halfway up with the -6db engaged or it'll give me that little red light. The power amp (Master level) has never clipped on me and I have managed to get pictures to fall off the wall in my home with this thing.

Delivers really great sub-bass sounds that carry, although I really wish this model had a knob control for the horn instead of just the switch.

only a 4/5 for features for that high frequency horn switch, I could do with a reverb knob, and the effects loop doesn't get along with many digital pedals like my delays. I have to run everything in front. Those three things aside this has all you need in it.

I have not tried the Line Out, but I'm afraid that it would lose the quality of the high frequency horn that I like so much about this amp.

It makes a really nice guitar amp for great cleans - again, if you really like the sound of what is in front of the amp, as it's quite transparent sounding.

Great sound, great price, great volume. A great amp, especially since it's so easy to transport. Sounds perfect through the PA. Nice tilt back feature for stage monitoring. Buy it.

I play upright and wanted an amp that could get loud with out loosing the subtle nuances of the upright bass and my other fretless acoustic. This is it. The other bass amps I've owned tended to feedback and distort at higher volumes. I wish I had of spent the few extra beans and got this amp in the first place.
