I saw this bass in a store just the other day, and it was a stunning bass. The looks where neat, nice sleek body, and the prive wasnt too bad (same as MF). So I asked the store owner if I could test out this bass, and I gotta tell you, this bass sounded amazing. Even slapping it sounded great. Im saving up now so I can order one of these babys.

Overall, I highly reccomend this bass for anybody. Get this bass. You will not be sorry.

So I bought a 2009 MIM Fender Jazz bass back in September.

After just 2 weeks, the neck was already wearing down. It wore down in multiple spots and it looked like it was scratched and I treat this thing like a baby.

AND MY BIGGEST REGRET OF BUYING THIS WAS; the neck pickup didn't work at all! Yes, it didn't work.

The screws on the bass is starting to rust already. Lame.

Setup was okay. Finish could be waay better. Tuning pegs are average, in some spots on the neck there is no wood finish at all. Strings are good. Bridge is great.

IMO, this bass is definetly not worth your good money.

I got this bass yesterday, it is a 1992 jazz bass, and i can't ask for anything more from it. It is one of the best basses I have ever owned (and played). I play a lot of Led Zeppelin stuff, and I am in a jazz band, and this fits every style of music I have ever tried to play! I HIGHLY recommend this Bass! So got out and Buy it!

All necks for Mexican and US Fenders are made in in America so that is out of the way. Pickups are alright but I switched them to Rio Grande Muy Grandes. Switched the pots and copper lined all cavities. Cheap nut so I replaced that too. This bass now blows away any stock American Fender. Period.

Best Intermediate Bass

I got this bass as a Christmas gift. Its the 2008 version of the bass so I'm not quite sure how the 2009 model compares but if its like the 2008 model its solid. The bass has 2 volume knobs, one for the bridge and one for the body pick-up. If one is too low, the noise it makes is horrendous however it can be silenced if both pick ups are at full or if one pick up is slightly(no more than 15%) higher in volume than the other. Over all it plays nicely, and has a great feel and tone. Besides the noise the only other problem I had was the wiring to the pick ups...had to smolder them twice..wasn't put together good. But besides that the bass is amazing for a learning intermediate level bassist.
