It's a faithful limited edition reproduction of Sting's trusty 1953 Precision Bass with his signature in a block inlay at the 12th fret. Contoured lightweight ash body with single-ply pickguard. Maple neck and fretboard with a 7.25" radius, a vintage 2-saddle bridge, and a vintage single-coil pickup. Enjoy this re-creation of the P Bass from the early days and pay homage to a great player at the same time.

This is a limited run bass, so don't delay - order yours while the getting's good.

I own this bass and have flirted with others in the stores but I always leave feeling I own the best bass already. The neck, while insanely thickly coated with poly, is comfortable in the hands and the contoured body is so comfortable to play, especially compared to its cousin the 51RI slab. With Dr Hi-Beams it purs.

Great bass! Simple, one pick-up. I love the neck, its easy to play. It works for whatever style of music you play. I use it for Bluegrass, Rock, Jazz, Blues and whatever else I'm playing: which let's face it many bassists have to do.

Solid Bass

This is a very solid bass. Incredible warm tone. Ultra smooth maple neck. Very solid feel. I have several other basses and will say that if you're wanting to play a lot of slap, & pop funk style bass this is probably not what you want as your primary instrument but it will still perform even there, just not near as bright sounding with the passive pickups. I play it through an Ampeg B100R and it really has a very smooth deep tone.

This is a very basic bass. If you believe you need a battery to sound good this bass is NOT for you. If you believe tone is in the fingers and want a solid bass this it. Mine buzzed more than I care for so I added shielding and replaced the pickup with a vintage Nordstrand. Replaced bridge and shimed neck to allow more room for intonation. Put flats on and I am in retro heaven.

Pretty cool

I got this bass because I liked the look of it and the initial sound of it when I played it. After owning it for two years I've had my fair share of problems with it, mainly on the G string. I've had numerous string replacemnt problems on the G with mine, and never since has a new set been able to replicate the sound of the factory stings, all others have a very tinny sound. Also on the highest octave I have noticed a few buzzes on quite a few notes, but this shouldn't bother you if you stay in the bass area of the instrument. Also I've had to get the pick-up replaced once, which is a pain considering this style of pick-up isn't used much anymore. But it is an excellent bass to record with, and has great deep tones and harmonics. Get it if you like the lower octave and can handle a challenge.
