This head has served me very very well. I have been using it over a year now with no problems. Fender has really got their stuff together in the bass department, i don't know what they did to this bass head but the tone is unbelievable and with so much power you can hang with any style of band or any fender twin or marshal stack! Its got that classic fender bassman tone but with the ability for the more modern bass tones that people are using now days. I like a vintage tone so this amp gives me as close as i can get to vintage tone with out having to deal with a bunch of fragile tubes. This head is easier to use and just seems to sound better than my Ashdown Evo 500, old EDEN WT-400, Gk 800 and as far as power goes this thing hangs with any ampeg rig i have played through. I have used this rig in clubs that fit 100 people with nothing going through the P.A. and Played huge outdoor amphitheaters with no problem!if you are having doubts because its a "Fender?", trust me and buy it, you'll love it.

Excellent 600w Hybrid bass head, marrying a 2 12AX7 Tube Pre with a 600w solid state power amp. Very warm and creamy tube tone, with the precision and punch of solid state. I would recommend pairing it with a 4 ohm cab to get the max 600w out of it, but even into an 8ohm load its still 400w and loud as you'd ever really need. Fender stepping it up in the bass amp market!

Little to say other than check it out when you get a chance. Tone, compression and flexability are all here. I've been playing GK's, Trace, SWR, Eden & Fender for years. This head combines the best of both worlds. Tube warmth with SS reliability just as others have gone to. Fender isn't inventing anything new here. Most others have made this jump or gone in the other direction with SS pre and tube power amp. This head combines the power & warmth of the 300Pro with the versatility of the 250/400HD. I'm impressed and have found a keeper.
