I had the 1001rb head, which got stolen. I replaced it with this combo which I use with my GK 410sbx. The head is great, it has great sound but the speakers are a little weak in the durability department. I have blown out my fair share of them due to the music I play. But overall the extra 210s help a lot. I dont think it would be good by itself unless you are playing some really quiet music. I also have an aphex aural exciter rack which helps with shaping my sound. Right now its a good addition, but if I had the money I would get all Mesa Boogie stuff. My 410s have new speakers in them which are eminence 300 watt. That has prevented any blow outs so far. Just remember if you need to push your amp you may want to add a 15" speaker in conjunction with 410's.

While a lot of players may look for an amp to round out their overall tone as an extension of their instrument, I do not. I look for an amp to give me the same thing out that I send into it. This amp has great, clean tone. Not tinny, not overly warm, and lots of flexibility. For live gigging, the XLR line out works wonders. And for studio recording, I get almost the same sound out of the line out as I do when I close mic it with either a SM57, or a Beta 57. Little things like the tuner mute and tuner line out, the side AND top handles, and the retractable luggage-style pull handle are the non-specific things that make me love this amp even more.

Plenty of wattage to go around, when used in conjunction with another 8 ohm cab. But by itself, the 10's can't handle the power. i've blown 2 speakers, and it's not even a year old yet! I love GK amps, but this product could use some more durable speakers.
