Amazing combo amp!

This amp really is amazing! I'm now a G-K user for life. One of the cool features is the distortion channel where you can have as much or as little overdrive you want/need. The 3-Band EQ is very good, and even the smallest twist of the knobs is audible to your ears, which is something I never encountered on any other amp. The contour button is really cool as it sweeps out the Mids and boosts the Bass and Treble. And with 70 watts of power through a 10 inch speaker it sounds incredible. Another thing is that I play a Peavey Millennium 5-String Bass and even though the speaker is a 10 inch, it never gets muddy or distorts on the B string. So if you are thinking about buying this amp, just do it! You'll be glad you did.

Or maybe it is for gigging...

Playing bluegrass bass through the 110, I use the line out to go through the PA for big gigs, or the amp standalone for small ones. This little amp has clean sound, is easy to carry, and gigs with me 20-30 times a year. For upright bass, I get enough acoustic sound to blend well with guitars, mandos, banjos - when playing P-Bass, the PA gives me enough low end for outdoor venues. I really appreciate the size factor - my 80lb "other brand" 15" unit stays at home these days.

I purchased my Backline 110 yesterday, and I'm extremely impressed with the highs and mids of this little baby. I hook it up as a firstline to my Fender Bassman 100. The results are fantastic. It can do everything. However, from what I have seen so far, It has not got enough low end. I do like the features. The contour is great and the overdrive is awesome, but once again, hook it up to a 15" combo for full sound.

Nice Practice Amp

This was the first bass amp I bought and I have to say it is a great place to start from. I was playing in a garage band at the time and and this little thing could easily hold its own. The only thing I have against it is that after a few years the speaker blew out. But that could easily be replaced. This is NOT a gigging amp, but a powerful little sucker for practicing and is real easy to move around.

So youre lookin for a durable amp that doesnt cost tons of moolah? this ones for you! its cheap, and durable! The overdrive channel is awesome to mess with, although you lose a little volume when its used. Overall easy amp to use and plenty of bang for your buck!
