This cab is perfect to cover the lower end of your stack. I use the GK 500 head/ with 410 cab/ and this. SOLID! Please don't try to use this as you main cab. This is mainly to cover the lower end of a stack. It will work, but the higher ends of the bass wont't be as bright. If you combine this with a GK goldline 410, it will impress you! These guys using Wal-Mart heads or some other random rig to power it should expect breakdowns. They are sturdy, and will put up with the wrong OHMS/ampage for only so long. Get an education and do GK justice with the right set up.

I bought this cabinet about four months ago. I use it with a Behringer BX3000t head and a Sans Amp bass driver. Our band plays nearly every weekend so I believe I have had ample time to evaluate this unit. During the first four or five gigs, the cab sounded somewhat harsh and brittle. Lots of clicks and string noise as well. Since then, the speaker has broken in and mellowed considerably. It still clips easily but that should change once I get a 2x10 cab to bring the ohms down to 4. Overall, a good sounding cab that should perform extra-good when matched correctly. A good purchase. Well made.

I used the GLX 115 for 15 gigs this year playing through a Backline 600 Head. During the middle of gig 15 the speaker failed. It is still under warrantee so it will only cost me shipping of the replacement speaker. As I pulled up to the autherized GK repair shop there was a Goldline 15 speaker in the trash pile which did not increase my confidence in the product. I was able to finish the gig with a Backline 110 I use for practice. Our guitar player said he could hear the Bass but there was no substance, at least the 110 allowed us to finish the gug and get paid!

I can't beleive the price on this. I chose it because it is built well, has no tweeter and can really shake the floor if needed. The bottom slot port is huge and moves some air. Came with casters- it is taller than most 15 cabs, which made it a little hard for me to store with my other stuff at home. Has one 1/4 inch connection, no thru jack or speakon. With right EQ, you could use it alone if you had to, but style of play could be limited. Also, is 300 watts whereas alot of cabs in this range are only 200.

I use one of these 115 cabs under the G-K Goldline 210 cab, and the combination is great. The 210 has lots of midrange clarity and some pretty good bottom end, and this 115 cab moves a lot of air and adds that "thud" that starts in the stage beneath you and climbs up to your . . . well, you know. I wouldn't use it by itself as it doesn't have enough upper end clarity for my taste.
