After months of researching bass heads, I bought the Genz-Benz ML-200 head. Actually two amplifiers, which in bridged mode, provide 200 W of power to a single enclosure. The mid ranges can be effectively contoured, or cut using the "mid scoop" feature. The "bass boost" feature really puts out a deep full bass sound that's never muddy and clearer than other amplifiers costing twice as much. The switchable cooling fan is a great feature. The cabinet contruction is rugged and includes military style metal knobs.
