The 3.0-10T amp from the Shuttle series was developed by Genz•Benz for professional players who require an easily transported, great sounding, and flexible bass amplifier system that is also full-featured.

The heart of the Shuttle series is the lightweight amplifier design. This 2.75 lb. amp is available as a "head only" or in combo versions, such as this one, delivering 175 watts at 8 ohms and 300 watts at 4 ohms with an external speaker cab. In the combo models, the amp chassis can be easily removed from it's combo "saddle" in seconds and carried to a larger gig in the pocket of your bass case or the available carry bag.

The head is extremely useful as a standalone unit, with a headphone output that is excellent for quiet, personal practice sessions. You can adjust the volume level and tone you hear with the preamp, and, using the Post EQ setting on the DI, you can turn the Shuttle into an outstanding preamp for recording.

The Shuttle 3.0-10T amp gives you an ultra compact combo that delivers plenty of output and tone. The ported enclosure combines a 10" neodymium loudspeaker and soft-dome neodymium tweeter in a compact 18.75 lb. package easily usable in a variety of venues. It comes with a bottom-mounted kickstand for projecting the sound back upwards towards you while you're performing.

I have owned Peavey, Mesa Boogie, Ampeg, Carvin and SWR and this is the best sounding amp that I have ever owned! Not to mention that it weighs almost nothing. Full of features and easy to use. There is no down side. Active basses especially shine. If you are even considering this amp, just buy it, you won't regret it. My new practice amp has just become my main amp.

Had read some good reviews elsewhere and figured "what the hell, try it." Had been running a Fender Super Twin head (150 Watt - all tube)before this. Have had various setups over the years, Ampegs, Fenders, Preamp/Power amp set ups, etc. This thing cooks. I am playing classic rock and some jazz. I have it Eq'd fairly flat and it sounds awesome. The stock speaker is fine for band practice, but I am running a single 15EV box playing out (with the 10). Not running through PA (well maybe just a little). Small to medium clubs, its got enough stuff. I love the size (getting rid of my home practice amp) because I can haul it back and forth easily. LOVE IT!

I've had this since May. It is an AWESOME amp. I use it as is at our small church and get plenty of thump, though the low B is a little flabby through 1 ten. Paired with my SWR 1 12" it really sounds good.

The amp has great tone control and the direct out is clean and strong. The amp is rated at 300w @ 4 ohms, but doesn't seem quite that strong with a 4 ohm load. Don't get me wrong is sounds great and can get pretty loud, but not quite what I expected. Now I haven't run it through a big cab like a 6x10 either.

I love the fact that I can show up with my gig bag on my back and amp in my hand and I'm ready to go. As a 40-ish player that has schlepped my share of heavy rigs around, I LIKE that!

However, it is quite expensive. The benefit is high fidelity sound in a very compact package. I'm very pleased with the purchase, and would do it again, if funding permitted.

I looked at the Shuttle 600w with 12", but that was too much more $ for what seemed to be not that much more bang. Plus I don't need a hybrid preamp, I don't mind solid state front ends for my bass.

This is without a doubt a remarkable little amp. It's very flexible yet transparent enough for when I want just the sound of my bass to shine through.

It is excellent for practicing solo. I wouldn't recommend this as a standalone amp for a rock band as the 1x10 just can't project enough to compete with a full band.

If you want to play with a full rock band, you'll have to go direct into the board and focus on using the amp as more of a stage monitor -- even in practice situations. Your other choice is getting a second cabinet to take advantage of the full 300W output.

If this amp didn't have a direct output, I'd have had to return it. That would have been too bad, because I really like the sounds that this thing can put out -- and I especially love the size and light weight.

I just bought one of these, thanks to GWBush and congress. I'd been thinking about reducing my loading weight more; had a small rack and 12" SWR cab. This does that in spades! 18lbs and I'm good to go for an acoustic gig or at my small church.

Played a med. size outdoor gig this w/e. I used the SWR paralleled with the 10". Great tone, but seemed to dissipate rapidly. Used direct out (pre-EQ) to the PA, SOUNDED GREAT! My drummer was raving about the sound. Granted PA had a lot to do, but the signal I provided was really good and clean.

The amp didn't overheat, though it is black and was in direct sunlight with temp about 85 deg F. It didn't seem to get very hot in general. I was pushing it just to limiting so I could hear myself on stage. Again no problems there.

Works great for my small church w/o running into the PA. This is just the combo amp itself, no 2nd cab.

Overall, a great sound, good fit and finish, but pricey. Wife even digs the sound and portability, though not so much the price. ;)

Sounds good with acoustic guitar through it also.

If you have the scratch and a bad back get one!
