Genz•Benz's amplifiers from the Shuttle series was created for on-the-move bassists who need a flexible, full-featured combo system that is easily transportable and sounds good too.
The core of the series is the lightweight Shuttle amplifier design. The 6.0 weighs only 3.75 lbs. and delivers 375 watts at 8 ohms and 600 watts at 4 ohms. Though this is a combo, the amp chassis can be easily removed from it's combo "saddle" quickly and carried to another gig in the pocket of your bass case or the available carry bag. The chassis has a handle too that makes carrying the cab, just as easy.
The head is extremely useful as a standalone unit, with a headphone output that is excellent for quiet, personal practice sessions. You can adjust the volume level and tone you hear with the analog 12AX7 tube preamp, and, using the Post EQ setting on the DI, you can turn the Shuttle 6.0 into an outstanding preamp for recording. It also has an extended range input gain for active/passive sensitivity, effects loop, limiter circuit, LED status indicators, Speakon speaker outputs, tuner out, full XLR direct out interface, aux. input, and a headphone jack
The cab portion of the 6.0-12T combo is a rear-ported, Birch-ply enclosured amp that combines 2 Genz•Benz GNX12300 neodymium 10" loudspeakers with a custom sourced bullet compression tweeter with attenuation control for a bass combo that is as versatile as it is pleasing to the ear. It's also got a bottom-mounted, tilt-back stand for angling the speaker cab towards you while you perform.

Great combo

I have used this combo at numerous rehearsals and jazz combo gigs. It is perfect for these small settings. It has a very clean preamp, and sounds amazing with my american jazz. The low, mid scoop, and treble boost switches are handy, although I don't use them that much. Boost the lows a little, cut the mid-highs about 25%, boost highs about 20%, and it puts out a fat wholesome tone with just enough string noise for those crisp tremelos and string pops. My main rig is the Genz-Benz GBE1200 and the UberBass 8x10 cab. This little guy puts out the same great tone and versatility in a smaller package; Highly recommended... Awesome amp!

An awesome NEO amp that can replace a full stack with great power, features, build quality, and huge NEO speaker sound. These speakers can replace a full 1x15 4x10 setup due to the power handling of NEO speakers. No more backbreaking hauls. One big problem is the portability. The cabinet needs removable casters and side handles. It is very awkward and difficult to carry more than a few feet by the single top handle. It's not very heavy, but lifting it up stairs or putting it in the car with the current configuration just doesn't work. I'm getting a road case to solve the problem, but I shouldn't have to. One other issue is the kickstand on the bottom of the amp. It needs a clear and workable open/close mechanism. The Speakon cable is also hardwired into the cabinet which could result in a costly repair if it ever gets pulled. A great amp in need of a few refinements. Great power, tone, and punch all the way down to the low B. NEO speakers and small systems are the wave of the future and this one is leader of the pack. Once the portability features are fixed, it will be perfect.

Great Sounding but Portability Issues

I own the Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 with 2x10 cabinet. Great sounding amp with great features. Very punchy and powerful with easy, simple controls and intuitive design. No need to go crazy with 50 knobs to dial in the right sound. This small rig can easily replace a 1x15, 4x10 setup due to the NEO speakers and powerful head. No need for huge rigs anymore even for large venues. There are, however, a few design flaws: (1) It is not easily portable. It is surprisingly heavy for a NEO amp, has no side handles and no wheels. Carrying it from the top handle is difficult and awkward for more than a few feet. It needs wheels and side handles. (2) The Speakon cable is hardwired directly into the cabinet. One bad move with the head or cable and you’re looking at an expensive repair. (3) The headphone jack does not mute the speaker. You have to unplug the cabinet. (4) The bottom kickstand does not have an intuitive release/secure switch. I had to force mine back into flat position when done which took significant effort. There is an optional footswitch and amp carrying bag which looks really cool, but are hard to find. This is overall a great sounding and easy to control amp fit for any size gig, with a few design issues that don’t affect the sound. The biggest issue is portability. You could probably install some pop-out casters easily, but I still see a problem with the lack of side handles.

Great Sounding, But Not Portable

Great sounding and powerful amp and cabinet with awesome features and specs. However, the cabinet is much heavier and more awkward than you might suspect from a NEO cabinet. There are no side handles or wheels and carrying it from the top handle is awkward and uncomfortable for more than a few feet. Two other design problems: (1) the kickstand on the bottom has no open/close mechanism and has to be forced closed which is very difficult and (2) the Speakon cable is hardwired into the cabinet rather than a standard connection. One false move with the cable and you're looking at a very expensive repair. The head is great and simple. It should come with the carrying case and footswitch. They are hard to find and add substantial additional cost.
Fix some of the design flaws in the cabinet (just add wheels and side handles) and this will be a great amp.

Good Sound, Poor Portability and other Problems

First the good: great sounding; powerful, punchy, loud, good tone; overall good build quality; metal knobs with clicks and positive feel; great features in back including ground lift and a headphone jack, great idea to make the head removable to use on a different speaker configuration; no unnecessary active pad switch; very simple controls and not too many knobs and settings; intuitive features such as a mute button and button tone shaping; available footswitch for preset tone shaping and mute. The bad: not nearly as light and portable as advertised – no side or bottom handles, no wheels, and carrying it by the top handle is awkward and difficult, just really bad portability (compare to SWR Redhead or Ampeg BA600 both with wheels) especially if you aren’t taking out the head; the bottom kickstand to elevate the amp is not intuitive and has to be forced back in position when done, there’s no real open/close mechanism, mine wouldn’t go back in until forced; the Speakon cable comes directly out of the cabinet to go into the head (i.e., there is no connection to the back of the cabinet, it is hard wired directly into cabinet) so one bad move that rips out the cable from the cabinet will lead to an expensive repair – why not have connectors on both ends?; footswitch is another $79 and amp bag is another $49 and both are hard to find; no knob setting suggestions in the instructions, it’s always nice when a manufacturer gives 5 or 6 suggested configurations for different sounds; the headphone jack does not mute the cabinet, you need to unhook the cabinet to practice silently. So there you have it. Great sound and features, but a number of issues that needed more thought and product testing. The portability is the most significant issue in my opinion.
