This bass is an excellent piece of woodwork, one of my friends managed to purchase one of these in america and brought it back to england he says it was a great choice. It has a great woody tone and sounds great through a fender bassman.

I have owned this bass for over a month now. If you like a light short scale bass with all the power of a full scale consider this bass. It is a real looker. It has the shape of the Jack Bruce EB0 of the sixties with a modern boutique look and feel. No pick guard brings it into the modern age. This bass is constructed of three different colored woods. The back and the neck are a carmel color with a lighter beige sanwiched in between. The face is a stunning white/zebra. The natural finish might seem a little dry at first but will age and smooth out after some use. It really stands out on stage and is surely better than your run of the mill P Basses. The huge neck pick up is the best for those warm belly tingling lows. There is a good range of sound but the lows from the Gibson pickups are what I really love. I am a retro fan, I own an Epiphone Viola, and a Jerry Jones Danelectro copy, both for a specific look and sound, however the SG covers any strong intense sound you may want. It is a bit pricey but if you are saving for your dream bass this just might be it. Only 400 were produced for Gibson's guitar of the week for January 2007, so don't wait too long.
