I do not own this, but I was messing around with it at my local music store, and I loved it!!! I tried out several fenders, and Ibanez Sound Gears, but this one beat them all. It sounds very nice, looks super sexy, and is very lightweight and comfortable. The black looked very dirty, and all fingerprints showed up, but the white looked very clean. My friend and I were playing folk rock and rock songs, and it packed a good punch against his electric guitar. Buy it. But it now. RIGHT NOW!

Since I've owned a 1980 Ibanez Artist guitar since new, I thought I would take a shot at an Ibanez bass. This bass is well made and substantial with great hardware. Its thick but not too heavy. The finish is perfect. Great snap in 1/4 jack that wont loosen. Ibanez makes very playable fretboards and this is no exception, however, the fret ends could be filed a little more. Ibanez tailpieces are also top notch. Pickups sound great. The only thing missing is a pickguard for those who use a pick, but no big deal.

More Short Scale Bass Guitars Needed

I've been playing 6 string guitars for 44 years. About two months ago the worship leader of our church asked me to step up and play bass for our new praise band. I accepted the challenge and found the 'borrowed' full scale bass to be uncomfortable because of my short arms and small hands. I purchased the Ibanez Mikro and could not have made a better choice. A couple of days later I saw this baby! It is and inch and a half longer than the Mikro and a much better bass. I wanted two so I could switch off and also have one in the stand at home to have handy to practice on. I got a great deal on the ARTB100 and purchased it. I love the look that this bass has and it is definitely a step up or 2 from the Mikro. Nevertheless I now have 2 nice bass guitars, as well as 2 Ibanez 6 string acoustic-electric guitars as well (AES10 and AEG10) I will not own anything but an Ibanez. Well done Ibanez!
