And, with the Bartolini electronics - two MK2 pickups and a MK2 3-band EQ - you'll properly snare the pure tones resonating off the quality woods of this awesome axe.

I picked this one out at random and have been completely satisfied with every aspect of it. The thru-neck gives it amazing sustain and the Bartolini Jazz pickups I have on mine give it the warmest tone I've ever encountered on a bass.

I almost freaked out when I saw this beauty of a beast at the local guitar store. The natural fade finish is BEAUTIFUL. The pickups get a great low end and are powerful, not to mention the clarity and high end. The long scale is great. The fingerboard is dark and it almost looks like ebony. I actually like the 3 band EQ on this bass, you get lots of different sounds. The mahogany body with a through maple/bubinga neck is great. I just wish they made this and the 5 string in fretless because this is one of the most playable and the most beautiful bass I have ever used. Please try this, much better deal that a lot of basses, even the Ibanez Soundgear's.

Seriously nice piece of gear

Ive owned the BTB570FM for half a year now and can truely attest to its quality. I own 2 Jazz Basses and a 5 string peavey but this Ibanez is a different animal all together.

First I have to note that even stock, the action is superbly low and sustains beautifully with the neck through design. The Fenders were like playing a wooden club in comparison. That equates to less effort in attaining the notes desired and at greater speed.

The Bartolini pickups offer a huge array of sounds and give the musician a chance to fine tune the sound from thick and muddy to bright and twangy. The pickups use TWO 9v batteries tho and it WILL devour them if you leave it plugged in, one of the few complaints I have.

5 knobs! (volume, bass, mid, treble, pickup distribution)...I do a lot of sound adjustment while playing and this bass allows for exactly that. A big selling point to me.

The price is fair, and I truely believe this bass to be one of the best for that price range, but it is a Mid range quality bass designed for versatility, and therefore isnt a specialized instrument in any one type of sound. I use it for hard rock/metal and it performs beyond my expectations for basses in that range(it BLOWS away my Peavey).

Truely a piece of gear worthy of ownership. It's a huge step up from the cookie cutter basses floating around the $200-$500 range. it RAWKS.
