Been playing over 30 years and have been playing fretless bass for a little over 25 of those! I love the play-ability of this axe, and the great tonal quality - accompanied by Ibanex/Fishman pick-up/preamp. Unlike many fretless acoustics I have tried out, this beauty's intonation all the way up the fingerboard is absolutely on the dollar!!! Why spend more and get a fretless acoustic that goes out of tune on the lines before you get to the octave marker!!?? The inbuilt tuner proves the attention to accurate pitch and I can honestly say, hand on heart, that you do not need to look anywhere else for a fretless acoustic bass guitar! I got sounds of an upright, Jaco and Jamerson out of this bass!!!!! (Ampeg SVT Valve Amp & Phil Jones Bass Briefcase) Oh! Forgot to mention - the beauty of the spalted maple - each and avery axe is UNIQUE!!!! Get one - I own one - and love it!!!!
