Transparent Red Sunburst

The Ibanez SR300FM 4-String Bass can master every genre from funk to punk. When Ibanez introduced the Soundgear bass guitar nearly 20 years ago, it personified the Ibanez slogan, "Anything But Traditional." At the time, Soundgear was the stuff of bass wizardry: lightweight, curvaceous, thin-necked, and equipped with powerful and versatile active electronics. With easy-playing Prestige thru-necks, Bartolini electronics and a host of other upgrades, the exquisite 2006 Prestige Soundgear basses will transport you to even more magical worlds of color and tone.

Nice Bass

I was directed by the music dealer to purchase this bass. For the price, the quality was outstanding, except the split knob control is a little noisy. Finish is great, and the neck has a very nice feel, as my hands are smaller than some. It has great sound played through a Peavey 115, and I'm very happy with the bass. I also purchased an Ibanez hardshell case that fits the unit like a glove. It's a very good buy and plays well.

As a guitar player I love this thing, the neck is so skinny. It allows me to play as fast as I want. I love how versatile it is. I play everything from funk to heavy metal on this thing. Great for down tuned stuff. Its one of my favorite basses I've ever played, and its extremely cheap. If your a guitarist who wants a bass this thing is perfect for you, also I would recommend it for any beginner to semi-professional.

Never buy an Ibanez. I have been playing for over seven years now and have never come a across a worse bass brand, except for Deans, than Ibanez. They are poorly constructed using garbage woods that don't offer great tonal range. I know what a good bass should sound like, because I BUILD them at home. Don't get caught in the Ibanez hype just because every Metal bassist uses one. Lets not forget that metal is not famous for its bass excellence. Spend the extra money and get a Spector, Warwick, Fender, Aria, or other high end bass. It will be well worth the price. Trust Me!

I love this Bass! I had A Dean that I used on stage before this one and I liked the action. I threw out the neck on the Dean so I was in search of an equivalent as far as the action goes and when I picked up this bass I fell in love, not only with the looks but the action and the sound. Ibanez did a great job with their attention to detail and quality on this bass.

I got this bass about 3 months ago and I haven't put it down since, I haven't played any shows with it but I have a show coming up in the next few weeks and with this bass I doubt I will need a backup,I'd bring one with me anyways but I doubt I'd need it
