I had been looking for a good bass and a friend of mind told me about the Ibanez and to try it. I brought the bass about a month ago and you can say that i was very happy, it has great bottom and with Eq great high sound. I have the SR 700 i played the Fender P Bass and the Ibanez #1. Play it and you dont want to put it down. Very Easy to play. Great job Ibanez.

I had been waiting for the 700 to come out for 6 months, before I finally found one in a store nearby. When contemplating buying a lower Ibanez model(i have smaller hands, ibanez is perfect), I decided that the finishing on the body was perfect to ward off nicks and scratches. I was right. This bass is everything that I could want, and more. I am able to dial in so many different tones with this beauty. I ran it through my line 6 lowdown, and immediately felt like I had found the bass of my dreams! The bubinga and jatoba wood makes for a gorgeous neck, and the yellow maple really stands out. Go play one for yourself, and see why Ibanez attracts the artists that it does.

I just bought this bass yesterday, and I am completely blown away, my last bass was a schecter and it was an ok bass, but the set up was horrible. The Ibanez sr700 on the other hand plays like a dream. Set up on this bass is perfect, absolutely no fret buzz and the Amber finish looks way better in person. The pics on here make it look more yellow, believe me, the pics dont do this bass justice. The tone is perfect....I have a Gallien Krueger Backline 110 as my home practice amp and I can dial in sounds for any genre....I am truly completely sold on Ibanez basses now and I will probably never have a need for any other brand. Go play one of these sr700's and I guarantee you will have to have one!

Not all basses are built equally. This bass is the proof in the pudding. I have owned every type of bass possible and taken them all on the road with me, and this is the only one that measures up. From its earth shaking lows, to crystal clear glassy highs you can find everything in between. From heavy metal, to power ballades, to my two handed tapping solo, nothing has even a bit of the versatility of this bass. There is only one word that accurately describes the balance for this instrument... PERFECT. I have taken jumps off stacks of speakers, slung it around my neck, banged heads harder then any other and never had the head dive problem so often found on other basses. Nothing I have ever played even comes close to the take off, sling, spin, slide between the legs, put back on still in tune, sound great, set up on the fly, don't need a dam thing else if that is all you have to use of this bass. I would strongly recommend this bass to any one that is looking for that Axe Of The Gods, love at first play bass you have been dreaming of, with the fastest sanded neck you can get and a pretty wood top and oh yeah the best part... It is so far under a grand that you can go out and by yourself some awesome sound reinforcement or a good amp, or well anything you want. So, click to put it in your cart. Oh yeah I got the charcoal brown. Check it and me out on tour with The Saints of Pain.
