The low tone gods smile on this one!

I love this amp! It has more than you need to be heard or more importantly...Felt! You will have more than enough power to get your chest pounding, subliminal, grooves, out to the masses. While the E.Q. can get you in the ballpark, as far as tone, plan on a sans-amp or pedals/effects to make it really work. Bottom line: Sweet tone without watts is useless! Who's gonna hear it? Do yourself a favor, buy this modestly priced monster; then shape your tone with pedals, preamp s ect. and you will be a happy Thumpmaster too.

I purchased this amp, and it's sound, crisp and versitile. I plugged in my 5-string, hit a few runs on it & everyone on stage looked at it like wow.

MORE POWER THAN GOD!!!!

This thing kicks like a friggin mule! I got this amp recently with a lot of hope and even more worries. I knew with all the watts it would be plenty loud, but I worried that with the dementions, it would be too skinny to fill a room. But, with a price like that and a wallet like mine, there was no question. I am way more than satisfied with this BEAST. I practice weekly and play avid shows in a ska/punk band and this thing has more than enough capability to hit all the highs and lows I hoped for and fills a room just fine (although the people who stand directly in front of the amp will obviously hear it a bit more). The biggest issue I have with this MONSTER is the weight and awkwardness. Just tough to get it in and out of your car, but once you turn it on, you forget about that and all you can do is drop your jaw.

So I finally determined to buy this amp. Low cost for a lot of wattage, and all the ratings seemed satisfying. I was excited when I opened the box. I thought it was going to be a standard power cable like the amps I had before, but it was a built in cable. OK, no big deal, I'll just have to be careful not to damage it when I move it around. I took it to our studio. The depth is greater than the width, so the wheels on this amp were too narrow and small for its size. This huge amp will tilt over easily if there is a bump on the ground. It is poorly balanced and very inconvenient to transfer. So we were practicing for the first time with this amp. The volume was not even on 1/2 power and I can hear it rattling. I thought maybe the screws were not tight so I pulled out a driver to tighten it, but the rattling continued. So the "Monster" cannot handle half of its own power. Shortly after, I see smoke coming out of the speakers. I turned it off immediately, and never dared to turn it back on. I was peaved and over with this amp within the first few minutes. I returned it and got a full refund, so Musician's Friend is trustworthy.
I hope that my experience helps, and that no one waste their time like I did. Hey, maybe it was just this one amp.

Well like the rest of the reviews lately, I got this amp after a rather long wait. It was well worth it, yes it is made in China, but you would be really suprised on how many things are now days. I'm sure Kustom has some form of Quailty control. You know they have been making amps for over 40 years. Now back to the amp, it has a very good sound after you get the E.Q. set, It is also very well built it has a horizonital 3/4 inch plywood divider between every each speaker and they are ported. A very sturdy amp. Although its to soon to tell about long term I'm thinking it will do just fine
