The Laguna LAB5CE Acoustic-Electric Bass first off is one of the most beautiful acoustics I have seen. After I got over the finish I had to look at the size. The thing is a monster, however, the neck is thin, which makes for great action on the fretboard.

The sound is amazing. Every string rings true including the E, which is usually the string that will lack the tone on acoustic basses. There is virtually no fret buzz.

I have used Fender basses in the past and this bass blows away the Fender BG-32 Acoustic/Electric Bass Guitar. It cannot top the Victor Bailey acoustic (which is a lot more in price), but comes very close and the aesthetic appeal of the Laguna is comparable to the Victor Bailey. It plays rock well, and can even hang in on some jazz cuts.

If you have money to spend on whatever then buy the Victor Bailey, but if you cannot spend that high of an amount and want an acoustic bass that is just as nearly as good as the Victor Bailey then go ahead and grab the Laguna LAB5CE Acoustic-Electric Bass. You will not be disappointed.
